So yeah, they're using friend codes again at least for now, but now you can send requests to a friend code instead of needing both people to register each other, so that's a lot better.

2727 is apparently code for a popular incestuous/selfcestous pairing in an anime called Reborn, based on a manga called Katekyo Hitman Reborn. The first episode of the anime is titled "What?! I'm a Tenth-Generation Mafia Boss?!" I might do more research on this later when I'm not at work. What's weird is that this is pretty much the only thing you see in Google Images results for "2727", but regular Google Search results don't give any indication why that is.

I think I'll be playing mostly in handheld mode, but if I play on the living room TV, I'm gonna be using the Wii U as the remote because my dad will probably have dropped the TV remote behind the sofa again.
