I have studyed the citys in the state and it shows that we are the only one that bans avitares. I know there are vary good resons for that, but I've fond a simple solution. Make people en avitar usige. When you have bad people, or bad or to big avitars, you ca cut there privleges. That will also cut down the lode time and sise. Goday gentelmen and laddys.

Ummmm... aren't avatars things that represent people? What do you mean by your city "banning" them?

This board doesn't support avatars, and no one here wants them, anyway.

The Andorian Mining Consortium runs from no one.
That was a joke.

I think avas would be a great idea, but you would need to replace this board with Power Board, or somthing like that.

You know, uvg, this isn't a government operation. There aren't any clubs for banning or supporting avatars, either. We are our own site and board and we don't want avatars. We haven't had them "banned" as you say. If they tries to pass a stupid bill like that, the first amendment of the Constitution would stare them right in the face (if you don't know what the first amendment is, you are a sad, sad person...).

That's also why Lateralus could promote those disgusting thos sites and it's the whole reason we have those disgusting sites...

Oh, if you don't know what the first amendment to the Constitution is so you understand the above, LEARN IT.

I believe he attempted to type:
"It was a joke to make it seem like I was doing something when I wasn't on for a hour, and I was wondering why we couldn't have avatars, but Wheel Kirby can! and then you say it's HTML! What is HTML?"

I have no idea what he meant by that first part, although.

avatar

1. <chat, virtual reality> An image representing a user in a multi-user virtual reality (or VR-like, in the case of
Palace) space.

2. (CMU, Tektronix) root, superuser. There are quite a
few Unix computers on which the name of the superuser
account is "avatar" rather than "root". This quirk was
originated by a CMU hacker who disliked the term
"superuser", and was propagated through an ex-CMU hacker at
Tektronix.

avatar - n. Syn. [in Hindu mythology, the incarnation of a god]

1. Among people working on virtual reality and cyberspace interfaces, an "avatar" is an icon or representation of a user in a
shared virtual reality. The term is sometimes used on MUDs.

2.[CMU, Tektronix] root, superuser. There are quite a few Unix machines on which the name of the superuser account is `avatar'
rather than `root'. This quirk was originated by a CMU hacker who
found the terms `root' and `superuser' unimaginative, and thought
`avatar' might better impress people with the responsibility they
were accepting.

I don't really care about avatars at all...If I am at a forum that support avatars, hey, cool, I'll put one up.

If I am not at one, oh well.....

Oh, and it's called a dictionary. It isn't expensive at all.

I just took a look at thr video game directors cuts fourms, It took my brand new computer several minuits to load one page everyone had avatars and huge, animated noise making sigs, It took the space of every post on this page to post a single line sentence with all the unnecessary extras. Fourms are much better off without such pictures and symbols.
