This is for the Virtual System version too. When I press A on the characters, it lists thier abilites. I have pressed all the buttons on the classic controller, and nothing happens!

Sorry, it's C-right, while you're not in any menus. I was having a bit of game confusion.

Alright, detailed tutorial...

1: Get out of the pause menu. Make sure you can walk around.
2: Tilt the right-hand joystick to the right.
3: Use the left-hand joystick to select Bombette.
4: Press "A".

This could have been avoided had you read the manual.
Remember that your first Goomba boldly you walk? When Mario touched that mushroom being brought up more largely remember that you are surprised? Miscalculate your jump that pit remember that it falls?

Nintendoobsessed, did you try pressing the HOME button on the Classic Controller? You should see a button that says Operations Manual (I think...I'm not looking at the manual right now to see what the real name is, but it's the third button on the HOME menu). Pressing it gives you a list of pages that you can go to. If you looked at one page and you didn't find what you were looking for, look at all of them. I know your problem was solved already, but try it out if you get stumped on the controls for your other games if you have any. I may not have any games on Virtual Console, but I read the manual very carefully. It's amazing what you can find in there...

Chupperson Weird, Nintendoobsessed only has the game on VC. Why would he have the manual for the N64 version?

You can only get it after.. Chapter two or three, I believe, after you get the Super Boots, which give the ability to butt-slam (the game calls it Spin Jumping, though.)
Kinopio is the ultimate video game character! Who else can drive a kart, host parties, play tennis, give good advice and items, and is almost always happy??

lol this is to good to be true. Dosent it even tell you how to switch partners in the game even? Becuase I have the VC version and I think I remember after you get the Koopa guy in your team it tells you how to switch.
Time is repeating itself. Why you say? Look at the Wii and NES and you'll know why.
