In my mind, there's no reason for a thread like this anywhere, personally. That said, I'd have placed this in General Chat and not here, because this sub-forum is more for site discussions, about the site, not its members.
Besides, many of the members on your list have already met each other.

Well, I was a mod (GC baord) on the last build of these forums; apparantly I've been replaced without being told why.
It's the latter part of the sentence that bothers me more than the former.

This is a very sensitive topic-- Missing certain people, including others, etc. could result in anger or confusion. In reality, though, I could easily meet Watoad. Assuming I took a trip to Seattle.

Ya, see, this was what I was half-trying to say without actually saying it. For a poll like this to work, you'd have to
a) not have an ulterior cheap shot at someone else (Chaotic)
b) add every member that's been active over some period of time. Which, given the capabilities of most forum polling means, is infeasible.
As for the mod thing, I'll reply to that elsewhere.

I would have wanted to briefly meet Chupperson Wierd or Fifth. Briefly. TEM I might get acquainted by yelling from across the street. Sapphira maybe if she was unconscious or asleep or in a classroom while I was walking by in the hall. Lizard Dude in a bigger group of people. Luigison if he was teaching my class. Suffix maybe I'd whisper to during a class. Black Mage in the group of people with Lizard Dude. Everyone else, I can't remember who you are or can't think of the way I would come in contact with you.

My sincere apologies to those who I haven't conversed with quite as much. Unlike some other people, I don't really care how I would meet the respective people. All at once, one at a time, etc. Also, note that there are more reasons. The ones listed above are the primaries.

You know, I feel just kinda sad that 90% of the members aren't on that list. Yes, that would be a LONG list, but we just feel so left out, you know?

However, some of that 90% are banned members, most people don't like most banned members. I can come up with more but I haven't looked at the member list much today.

I've an idea: at the Nintendo Italia community, we use to meet us during some comic and videogame conference to know how we are .
We open a topic and we decide the place, the hour and the day to meet the others members.
I've never meet them, because this meetings are always in Napoli, Milano and Florence: I live in Cividale del Friuli and they are far away from my home.
But I think that if they will do a meeting in Venice it can't be a problem for me: there are only 2 hours to arrive there by train!
But this is only my problem!
But this could be a good idea for you!
You can choose the place, etc. for the meeting! ;)
I hope there are other italians in this forum, otherwise I can do "advertising"! =D

I'm sorry bigmariofan1.0, but making a poll for this was just stupid. There are plenty of members, and you could've asked us to list them instead of making a big poll out of it, you're making some people feel left out, as if they never joined. By making that poll it's like saying those listed are the only members. I see a few people there that only joined a month before me...I was active at TMK, but then I left for a short while, and now I'm still posting, but it doesn't make any difference, unless you joined while I was gone.

It wasn't so much the technical workings of the quote feature as the uses to which it is being put that amazed me.

Of those individuals whom I've already met in person, the ones I'd be excited about meeting again would be Chupperson, Lizard Dude, Luigison, MEGAߥTE, Andrew, David, Fifth, and even Frog. It was fun getting to believe for six days' worth of waking hours that we lived in close enough proximity to enjoy each others' friendship without the Internet.
As for those whom I haven't yet met, I'm most interested in meeting Deezer and Sapphira because they were supposed to have been present when I met the people above.
Looking to the rest of the people here—who are by no means less important—those who strike me as folks I'd most like to see face-to-face are GoombaDoom, Black Mage, Eclipsed Moon, Insane Steve, King Boo, Markio, Nameneko, Suffix, TEM, Vidgmchtr, Yoshisaurus Rex, and even JJ. For the most part these are just the names of those whom I know best here. While there are probably many others (Bird Person, Dairy King, Koopaslaya, Screech, etc. etc. etc.???) I'd also enjoy meeting, I kept the list to those whom I feel I've gotten to know a little better.
Wait, was I supposed to give only the top five or something? If so, whoops. If not, whatever. I don't feel like going back and (re)reading earlier posts after typing all of this.
