It's an old MIDI composing program (originally for Windows 3.1) called Master Tracks Pro 6.

Ok, I've got one final suggestion.  Try putting the .dll files into the Windows/System/ folder (where all of Windows' dll files are stored) and restarting the computer so that Windows will find them.

If this doesn't work, I'm all out of ideas.

It's possible to get sheet music from a MIDI file, but it's usually so literal that even the simplest of songs becomes baffling.  If you want to see what I mean, try looking at the first 9 measures of a mario MIDI (main tune and baseline) at http://members.nbci.com/f1fth/music001.gif

That's all the help I can offer.  Perhaps you should just learn to play by ear?

If you've already downloaded them to somewhere else, all you've got to do is move them.  No need to download them twice.

The star block:  if there are red coins on the level, a red spark will circle the block for each coin you haven't gotten.  When you get all of the coins, you can hit the block to access a secret level.

As for the suits:  the Luigi suit comes from a Luigi cap.  It can jump higher than normal and do the crouching high jump from Mario 2.  There're two in the game.
The goomba suit is gotten from brown mushrooms.  It lets you walk on those painful plants and also turn into a goomba (down and button 2,) short, slow, and invincible to enemies.  There are two of these as well.
I also made a monkey suit (it's a tuxedo.  Bad pun.) and a hammer bros. suit.  However, there are no monkey suit items in the game, and the hammer bros. suit is very hard to find.  If you do find it, I'll give you a golden cookie.

There were other items too, but there's no way to get them in the game.

The cave was never finished.  And the block leads to a secret level.  Each of the red things representes a red coin somewhere in the area.

By the way, have you found the Luigi suit or the goomba suit?

I can't finish it because the game file no longer works.  I can, however, salvage the graphics and start over entirely with the code; I can sort of think of that game as a "test run," and avoid all of the bugs next time.  I just need to know if it'd be worth my while first.  (I've already started an engine that's many times better than the older one.)

Oh and the game did have background music.  Perhaps your MIDI volume was off, daFunkster?

Ah, hmm...  You probably should've posted this in the "game help" forum, for future reference..

Luigi saw the danger in the situation, but also knew it was a perfect opportunity to prove himself.  It was obvious that his brother Mario always got recognition and it became rather irritating.
"We'll finish you off, Linguini!"  Kent C. yelled, "Attack, Hookbill!"
"That's Luigi!"  Luigi corrected, and you're wrong, I'll be-"
But another threat had appeared.
Hookbill stood himself on his rear legs in that menacing way that Hookbill is known to do, and began pacing towards Luigi.  Grabbing the closest thing at hand, or at head, since the closest thing happened to be the parakoopa that had jumped onto his head, he readied a clear shot at Hookbill.
"Time to fight koopa with koopa!"  he remarked as he flung the parakoopa at Hookbill's face.
Hookbill, obviously expecting Luigi to just stand there, lost his balance and fell onto his back.  Luigi then took the opening and jumped over Hookbill.  He swung himself around in the air and came down, behind-first, as hard as he could onto the giant koopa.
"OOWWWOWWOWW!!"  Luigi yelled, "That-a hurts!  How does Mario do it so easily?"
Nonetheless, it was successful in launching Hookbill clear out of his shell.
"Not so fast, Linguini!"  The Kent C. said, "I'll stop you if I have to do it myself!  I'll bowl you over!"
"Wrong again, Kent C."  Luigi replied, kicking Hookbill's large, now empty shell in his direction.
"WAAGH!!"  Kent C. tried to run, but the shell soon knocked him away.
Satisfied, Luigi looked around, to be sure that no more koopas remained standing.
"Well, Toad, what'd you think of that?"
Luigi looked around.
"Toad?"
Of course, toad had securely hidden himself up the nearest tree.
"Come down from there," said Luigi, annoyed that nobody had witnessed his spectacular victory, "battle's over."
Toad clambered down and the two continued towards Peach's castle...

(Oops!  Simultaneous post!  Well, it still works, except that the parakoopa is no longer on Luigi's head...)

You missed a few suits from Super Mario III.
The frog suit, the hammer bros. suit, and the Tanooki suit.

Well..
If anybody wants to play a homemade Mario game while you're waiting for others to finish...
...and you've got a PC...
...and some spare time...
Though it's unfinished, it still works.  It's just got a few bugs.  Copy http://members.xoom.com/f1fth/mario03ok.zip into your browser.  It's about 4 megabytes.  You'll also need the contents of this file http://members.xoom.com/f1fth/dll.zip somewhere on your computer.  It's about 200 kilobytes.

My Super Mario Universe game.  Keep in mind that it's rather difficult to make decent animations.

I know a number of people who persist on pronouncing Lakitu as lah-ku-tah.
As for Geno:  I have no idea.

An answer:
Because newspapers don't base atrology off of any true science or anything that is in the least bit consistant.  They problably base their "predictions" off of any whim that passes through their entertainment-oriented noggins.

But we're basically trying to guess people's personalities from zodiac descriptions in this thread, accurate or not.  Nothing to do with newspaper horoscopes.

Oh, and I don't mean to nit-pick, but your question seems to lack a question mark, StyX.

Well, I was able to find a description for the Tiger/Gemini combo in the Chinese zodiac on the site I'm using:

"I shudder to think. All that air and wood? It's positively eerie. Geminis will need two sets of disk brakes on all four wheels to keep them from going into zany business ventures, marrying the wrong partner five or six times in a row, or rushing off to the big city with ten cents in their pocket. Lots of education and hard work in childhood will ensure this person a solid future. Without a solid structure, he could fail almost at anything. With a firm basis to fall back on, a brilliant career is assured. Keep a cool washcloth handy and apply to forehead frequently."

Is that at all accurate?
But I couldn't find the air element, and I can't enter a date because that feature stopped working on my computer on that site.

Oh, and in case you're curious:  November 9, 1982, Dog, Water, Scorpio.
