Title: More modern dreams.
Post by: superstarMASIAH on January 03, 2006, 04:53:23 PM
I have been having dreams like every night since school started in September, and remebering them.  Here you can keep a dream log, and have other people interpret them if you want, its an old art called Oneiromacy.  I'll start with the semi dream I had this morning...

                  Jan 3 somewhere between 7:00 and 7:30 a.m
It was a 2 hour delay this morning so I got to sleep in an extra hour,  although my alarm was not set, I did not want to set it, and I did not want to sleep past 7:30.  I was in a half sleep state where I could see the digital alrm clock, but somehow I was still in dream mode, and I looked out my window (my window is close to my bed and my alarm clock is on the sill, so it was like I just looked up a little from looking at my alarm clock).  And this person was floating in a clearsh pinkish bubble, and they were sitting in it holding their knees, and had black eyes, but still looked like a human.

You can tell me what you think or interpret my dream if you like.

Wow, no-one cares, but anyways, I'll just keep explaining.  Had no dreams lastnight, which kinda sucked.  This weird thing happened last night, I was so hot and I couldnt get to sleep I just kept tossing and turning, untill I like halfslept the whole night.  Then I woke up this morning, like every other morning.  I take a shower, get dressed, take my pills, pour my cereal, then sit and watch the local news.  I'm watching and this one news cast comes on saying this one girl has died over the night.  It is a girl from my religous ed class, she's been battling cancer for the last few months.  I didnt really know her that well, but still, the fact that I saw her and interacted with her before is just creepy.  I'm still kinda freaked out.  Even though I didnt know her as well as everyone else did in my religous ed class, I still feel really bad.

Jan 4, around I dont remember
I had a dream that I was at kohl's looking for this khaki jacket that I wanted.  And I couldn't find one that fit right, so we were there like half the day looking for one.  All of a sudden I see my school counciler wearing my army jacket that I like, but I dont even care that he took it.  All of a sudden I see this rack of the exact jacket I want, all my size, and the sign says 1cent each!  I rush towards the rack, and when I get there it suddenly dissapears.  And I'm like thinking to myself "Just my luck..."

Jan 5, around, I have no clue
I had a dream I was at this resturaunt inside a humungus tree.  I see this kid ( the kid from the show Home Improvement, the blonde haired one)  and he has all these little brothers, like 7 of then, but all of them are 2 years apart from eachother.  And the oldest is eating a burrito.  And thats the end of that part.  Then I';m on the school bus on my way home in the middle of winter, on the wrong bus and they drop me off at this house thats for sale, and I go in it, and everything is in there, but it is all brand new.  My parents come in somehow they knew where I was, and I touch this lgither, and I hear this thumping sound, and there is a modern day battle feild in the back yard. Then I'm at my house, and this kid I knew from Ireland was there, I havent seen him like since 7th grade.  And he's like appoligizing for acting like an idiot the last time he was here, so everything was cool, but then he started freaking out because he thought this stuffed animal rabbit was alive.  It was all limp and stuff but it had human eyes and they would move

Jan 6, somewhere around, I dont know
Yeah, I had a dream my dad neede to go out and buy something like milk in the morning, and my mom was yelling at him, and I said some thing sarcastic , and he said "Well, why dont you go out and buy it?"  So I did, and I got lost and I was lost untill night, and I wandered into this feild where epople were setting off fireworks.  Then me and my mom were at a bookstore, I was looking for a book.  She wanted me to read this one stupid book, but I saw this Mario novel I wanted to read (neat huh?).  And she was getting all mad and nagging on me, then I was dreraming about what the book was about.  It was like Labyrinth with a Mario twist.  Then thats the end.

January 8, somewhere in the morning
This dream I had was awesome, so here it is.  I'm in the city, and I go to this china shop, that sells mystical thing, and I steal this one dragon thing I really wanted that brings you good fortune, but I didnt see the one WARNING sticker it had on it saying that it would make your zany thoughts come true.  So it warped me into a reverse reality, where I was a bounty hunter, of orcs, yes, its true, I hunted orcs for cash!  I was on my one journy in the feilds of a foreign place just slaying these puny orcs to get to the mother load.  I get to the place this one orc lives and he is out doing whatever orcs do on their free time.  He has a big charpit in the middle of his living room.  and there is this clean slate of metal in there that I wanted, because it would serve good to cook food on, on my long journy back to collect my earnings.  so I get it, but his dig would not stop bothering me.  And I am on the really nice front poarch, and the big moma orc just got home from the day, and I hear this sound, it is far away, but getting closer.  ITS MY RADIO!  Yes, I could hear the radio I left on before I went to sleep, and suddenly, its clear, I am in a dream!  Everything gets in wicked technicolor bright, I could see eveything in perfect detail.  So, in my own will and knowledge, I run and jump off the porche and start to fly, yes fly!  suddenly, I see orcs down in the feild, so I say to myself that it would be nice if I could kill them without going down there, knowing that they were in my dream.  So suddenly my finger starts shooting out bullets.  YAY, I just had a VERY LUCID DREAM!

Actually people take in more Vitamin B6 than they really think, its just the way they put it to use, if you can remember one small thing from your dream, it will unlock the whole dream in about 5 seconds....

August 17, at night.
I had a dream I bought this fishing bobber you are supposed to use in winter, it was supposed to look like ice.  And with it I bought a lure that looks like a duck that is diving under water.  I bought these because I was supposed to be going fishing for Muskellunge, which incase you dont know is a very big freshwater fish.  So I go into the water, I guess it was supposed to be winter (thats why I bought the desquised ice bobber) but it was actually summer, and in my dream under water looked a little more tropical than usual.  I say UNDER WATER because I had no pole, just line, the bobber, and the duck lure, and I went into the water swimming with goggles to fish for it, to see if any Musky would go for it.  So I'm sitting under water, lookng around me, looking, looking.  All of a sudden this enormouse musky goes up to my lure in the water, I'm afraid, because I'm in the water with it, except I'm a disdence away from it, so I turn around and think to myself, if I feel it bite it I'll just pull.  and then I feel this monstrous tug, and I pull it out of the water and onto land.

I once had a Zelda dream probably sometime in Q4 2005 poking fun at the Spontaneous Combustion ep. of South Park (before I even saw the ep.  I knew what happened cause my friend talked about it)
Zelda was like the mayor of a village.  This village was suffering from spontaneous combustion, and Zelda sent her boyfriend, Link, to solve the problem.  When he finally found a solution, he found the village in smouldering ruins.  Devastated, Link spent the rest of his days as a hobo sitting by a shack and an old green pick-up near the village ruins.
That was one of my wierdest dreams.

My cousin can talk in her sleep, and whenever we spend the night with each other, we like to play around with her dreams.  I once made her dream she was Peach.  She was kidnapped a LOT in that dream.  It was funny cause she was like, "Mario, get your spastic Italian butt over here and save me!"  My character, Tashio was in it, and when he introduced Mario and Peach to his parents in the future, an older Mario and Peach, my cousin was like, "Catch me, Mario.  I'm fainting... agian!"

I once had this wacky dream where I went back in time and saw my own mother when she was a kid.
Even stranger, the time machine looked like a weight scale (like the ones at the doctor's office).

I had this weird dream that a friend of mine from California was visiting.  It seemed all too real.  I woke up going, "Whoa, I've got to stop eating so much fried chicken before I go to bed!"

Another dream that I had was when I was along with Mario, Luigi, Yoshi and Link.  They were fighting the Al Qaeda terrorists for some strange reason, and I joined in.  It was like one of the earlier Zelda games.  Yeah, it was weird.  Of course, you figure there had to be a reason for such a crazy dream.  There is.  I had just finished drinking a whole 12 pack of Mountain Dew, and I fell asleep at about 2 in the morning after beating Yoshi's Island.  Ya know, sometimes my subconscious scares me in more ways than one.

The last dream I had that I can remember was induced by strange conversations. My sister thinks the world will end due to mass epidemic, and zombies might be possible if chemicals seep into the earth and awaken the minds of dead people. So in the dream I had that night, the world was ending due to mass epidemic turning people into brain-eating zombies. Go figure. The germ actually made people into zombies... and they could be anywhere... and a lot of stuff was destroyed.

I don't know why, but last night, I had a dream where I went to Pizza Hut, and there was one of those vendors that give out cheap little toys when you put in one or two quarters.  Anyway the vendor thing had some Mario figurines in it.  This didn't even look like a regular Pizza Hut, but I'm pretty sure that's what the restraunt was.

If you think that's wierd, one night, I stayed up till 1 AM playing OoT.  When I finally got to sleep, I had a Zelda related dream in TWW graphics!  And (it was either this dream or another Zelda related dream) Ganondorf was bald!

Dreams can have weird effects. I once had a dream involving Sonic the Hedgehog and the cast of Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends, and it caused me to suddenly remember the events of 'Felix the Cat:The Movie', which I hadn't seen since I was 4.

I had a dream that I was typing on the other guild board that I go to, and since my acc got frozen and I joined the same guild and claimed I was the same person, the others talked behind my back about it, typing back and forth, and it seemed so real that when the dream was over, I hopped out of bed and asked the girl if she thought I was ptpeach and looked back at messages but never found that one. I swear, it was wierd. But Jman, your dream just wierded me out. 12 mountain dews? I couldn't do it, but I could do 12 cups of lemonade.

You know how I said that my subconscious scares me sometimes?  Well, it happened again.  I had another crazy dream.  It started out like any of my normal dreams would.
I was at an arcade with a good buddy of mine.  It was like a Grand Slam/type funcenter with skee ball, those ticket style games, and regular arcade machines.  I found this one machine that seemed very familiar.  For some reason, this was an arcade machine that I had once owned, and my name was still on it in very faint print.
Apparently, I had to sell the machine to make enough money to get by.  I found that whoever owned the machine after me had made a very odd upgrade to it.  There was green lever that flashed a function on the machine, and these functions were meant for victory celebrations.  Anyway, this machine had about 20 games on it; among them were Pac-Man and SMB Versus.  I started playing Pac-Man and after a little while, I decided to pull the lever for a victory celebration.  Suddenly, fireworks began going off from the top of the machine.
So, after being initially startled, I found myself congratulating whoever thought up this mechanism.  But I pulled it later, when the lever said "Smoke", expecting smoke to fly out of the machine.  Instead, I suddenly found, of all things, a cigarette in my mouth.  So I immediately spit that out, and cursed the "genius"  who thought this up.  I found my buddy and told him about it.  And my words after that were,
"Someone really screwed up my machine!"  I went to play some skee ball after that, and then I woke up.
(Oh, and pt_peach, this dream was in no way induced by Mountain Dew.)

Earlier this week, I had a dream that I hung out with the Mario Bros. and The Cheat (from Homestar Runner).  That's all I remember.  I hung out with them ...and slept with them once. (Before any perverts ask, we didn't do anything dirty!)

I guess it made more sense than most of my other dreams, seeing as the Brothers Chaps occasionally put some sort of Nintendo reference in those cartoons, and I love both HSR cartoons and Nintendo games.

About a week ago, I dreamt that I was the Keyblade master, I was attacked by Heartless during a visit to my aunt's house. Eventually, Goofy and Donald showed up and helped finish the job. The last thing I remember was Donald saying "What the Crap?" or something similar to that.

Man, I really need to stop playing Kingdom Hearts II.

Once I had this dream that I (with some other people I don't know) was trapped in some kind of shut-down-and-very-broken facility. Strangely, it resembled a course in Metroid: Prime Hunters. The last thing I remember was that some of the people went on this broken elevator. Then I got this ball that resembled the Imperialist weapon. I burnt a hole through something, but I (stupidly) didn't escape.

Last night I dreamed I was watching a movie based on the Zelda games, with Harrison Ford starring as Link!  Harrison Ford was on some jungle island, in the pouring rain, dressed as Indiana Jones, talking to a computer generated Zelda, saying some line like "We need to get the last peace of the TriForce!" in a ridiculously over-dramatic voice.  It was awesome.

This is an older dream, but it was still really awesome!  Shigeru Miyamoto was giving out autographs at our church!  It didn't look like our church, but it was.  The line was huge.  That was probably the coolest dream I've ever had.

Last night I had a dream where I was watching the old Mario cartoons.  There was a three-episode special in which Mario was trying to retrieve these gifts, for which he spent about 500,000 coins, for Pauline, but never got to her because the plucky plumber and his brother stumbled in a different dimension.  The gifts were stored at a friend's house, and after so many years, the guy forgot about them and he moved.  The gifts were scattered all over Brooklyn and the Mushroom Kingdom.  The news somehow got to Mario, who's now married to Peach (yay!).  Within two episodes, he got most of them back, and they were being stored in his attic.  Then in the third episode, Pauline makes an appearance (she put on a few pounds since Donkey Kong).  She walks up to Mario's attic, and she saw some old pictures of her and Mario, and laughs at how ridiculous her clothes looked, cause they were 80's clothing.  Then we found out that she was in the middle of a love polygon, and found out why she decided to choose the Italian carpenter.  Unfortunately, I didn't see any Donkey Kong references.  I don't know what happened after that.

Last night I dreamed I was playing tennis, on an actual court with an actual ball against actual opponents, but instead of a tennis racket I was using a wiimote.  The ball would bounce off the space just in front of the wiimote as if it were bouncing off a racket.  The wiimote has seven D-pads spread out on all sides of it; I remember thinking how strange it was that the wiimote had more D-pads than buttons.

Last night, the 4th of July, I had a dream where I was in school, and it was the last day, I was sitting in my seat in math class when one of the kids lit up a cigarette.  I was startled at first thinking somehow I was going to get blamed, but the teacher didn't mind, which astounded me.  Then I started to relax, I meen, really really relax, and I asked the teacher if I could clean out my locker, then I went.  I looked in my locker and tons of crap was in there, including(the stuff I could recognize) my paintball stuff, food, and millions of books with my backpack, for some reason I had to take it all home.  I didn't want to bring everything into the class, so I set it outside the door in the hallway, I saw this kid take one of my Combos packages, so I ran after him.  When I did, my legs felt like jelly, it would tickle when I walked.  Just then, I had my skateboard, and started riding in the hallway, until a teacher whom I dislike very much told me to get off, and I went back to my stuff.  My stuff was there, some people took my paintball stuff that I was shortly distressed about.  But not for long, for I became very disfigured, it was someone would like to or would call an acid trip.  Syd Barrett was playing music in the background and I bacame very happy, very very happy, because I havent heard him in soooo long.  The time had come to catch the bus, and I ran to it forgeting all my stuff but not caring the least.  None of the kids were kids that "actually" ride my bus, and neither did the bus driver.  I heard all the little kids chanting "The wheels on the bus go round and round!" and the busdriver haulted and started yelling.  Suddenly I racked up the nerve to tell her to shut up and drive.  Suddenly I was close o my house, I was the only one on the bus, and I was driving, I passed my house, and couldn't press the brake.  Ironically, the door was on the drivers side, and I hung off it, while still driving.  I became very lucid, and I knew I was in a dream, I knew if I crashed I would wake up, destroying the dream.  So I jumped out, flying the unmanned bus into a building.  I reached my yard, and a dog, that I was expecting to be my dog was walking up to me.  But it wasn't my dog at all, and it was wearing glasses, I saw something sitting in the middle of my yard, like a vehicle, a very peculiar vehicle.  A vehicle I have never seen before.  Still very lucid I walked down the hill towards it yelling "You don't belong here!" over and over again.  It took off, and I woke up.  The End

...Well, that's pretty confusing, now isn't it?

While I had disappeared for a while, I had a fantastic nightmare. If it weren't so cool and movie-like, I would have hated it, being that I became scared out of my wits.

To begin with, imagine a Star Destroyer. Now get rid of the bridge and upper section, make it a little bigger than the Blockade Runner it was pursuing in Episode IV, and replace the crew with Rebellion troops and myself.

When the dream began, things were already going badly. Crew members were screaming about these hideous creatures that the ship had been overrun by, and I was wrestling my way through to get to the bridge. I ran for space-age-type elevator, but I strangely avoided it and took the stairs.

That's when I first saw one of the horrid creatures (see attachment one). I was accompanied by a few soldiers and an engineer, and we paused to look at one of the aliens, which was pacing a flight of stairs below. Before I knew what was going on, it rushed us! One of the soldiers disappeared into its enormous five-pronged mouth, and I leaped over the guard rail and smashed onto the stairs lower down. I'm not quite sure what happened to the soldiers, but the engineer guy made it to the bridge with me. There, at the front of the ship, I struggled to land the ship in a containment building on Earth, amidst nerve-shattering yells and screeches.

All this time, I had been holding onto some ancient documents and hadn't quite realized it. When the ship was evacuated and all exits were sealed up, we left the infested ship and reported to our superiors. I turned over the documents, but was given a new mission: return to the ship and extract the ancient book that had been left behind. The squabbling senators and diplomats became so enraged by our lack of competence that I felt I had no choice but to return. The same engineer accompanied me as I climbed a long steel-framed staircase back into the bridge.

It was difficult to get to the stairs or the elevator because of a long line of plastic, translucent curtains that had been hung up. Apparently, the creatures disliked plastic. When I finally reached the elevator, scratching noises convinced me that it just wasn't safe. Remembering the incident on the stairs, the engineer recommended that we take a secret escape tube to the bank vault. At the base of the once-shiny vault, we saw quite the gross spectacle: long lines of creepy plants that the alien monsters climbed to navigate large areas (see attachment two). There were a few sleeping creatures in this area. We climbed up to an octagonal tube-- and were met by none other than three, very awake creatures.

Without making you bored and tired of my weak ability to tell a story, we made it to a hallway, I found the book, hid in a room, peered into a hallway, and saw yet another disturbing event. Down the hall, the elevator door was open, with very small lights gleaming at the bottom. The engineer was making his way down the hall when he was eaten. A head and neck shot out of the elevator, extending like a Queen Metroid, and promptly grabbed the poor man. I woke up in a hurry as it started slithering by my doorway.

[The attachments are colored in the same method in which Sapphira colors her drawings. Thanks for showing how it's done, Sapphira!]

I had a dream about the Crash Bandicoot games having a multiverse last night. The only reason I could ever have for even thinking of something like that is probably because Cortex's voice in the first game is different from any other game in the series. The dream focused largely on him, anyway.

Ok, I had a dream for the first time in a LONG time, and it was weeeiirrd. I was on some kind of train or bus with 3 friends (friends from real life, and not random dream people). One suddenly says "Man, I gotta go to the bathroom." So he gets up and we look out the window as we pass an outhouse, and he gets out of the vehicle without the it stopping. While he's gone, we pass an old, abandoned Disneyland (or at least the Matterhorn, which isn't a ride at all anymore) and he suddenly is up ahead and he gets back on as the train keeps going.
Somehow, I find myself in some cold, London-like town. It's actually a little too cold for me. I step into this bar-like place, where the guy behind the counter asks me if I still use emulators. I told him "no" and ordered something that was $1.25. Even though the place looked like Britain, I still used U.S. money. I was actually allowed to sit at the bar table. I didn't order beer or any alcoholic anything, it was like hot cream soda. I fiddled around with my wallet, found a quarter, a couple of fives and a twenty, but "Man, I NEVER have ones in this thing!" I said. I found a one in my wallet after saying that. Then this guy comes in and starts playing his DS. Then it ended.

I haven't remembered one of my dreams in well over a month and a half. I record the more vivid ones. They are all very nonsensical and bizarre, and probably weirder than most people's dreams here.

The last one I remember, from May 15th:

I had this really weird dream that I was trying to stop some evil super villian from taking over the world (usually, I'M the super villian), except that I didn't know WHO I was trying to stop. Anyways, what somehow happens is that I go on the set of a game show, which for whatever reason, mainly consisted of being asked a bunch of trivia questions by a giant robotic insect while you're sitting in a porta-potty. Anyways, a few round of this occur. I remember that no one did very well as this at all. Then, I was called up to play. I found the trivia questions rather easy, myself. I remember getting 8 correct in a row (supposedly, 10 in a row won you the grand prize there) and then I just walked out of the porta-potty for no reason... and the insect said something like "A-ha! I know who you are. I got you, finally!" and lands on my head, and proceeds to rip it off in a bloody, disturbing spectacle. Turns out the entire show was a front for the major villian to find people like me and kill them off.

Which is scary, because I haven't died in any of my past dreams.

And this was no exception -- a bit later, in a Hawaiian-ish lounge, me (the real me) and some other secret-agent looking person are sitting on lounge chairs and talking about what was going on at the show, which was on the TV in front of me.

(paraphrased)

Me: Ya, I basically built a near-perfect robotic version of myself to check that out. It looked really suspicious. I mean, a TRIVIA CONTEST?! Sheesh. Basically, it was designed to look incredibly realistic if, say, its head were ever ripped out. I mean, you can't tell the difference between me and that thing.
Agent: Ya, [nickname for me I can't remember], but how much did it cost you?
Me: 14 billion dollars.
Agent: Isn't that a bit much?
Me: Relax. I stole it from the government!

riotous laughter ensues

And I woke up during this laughter.

Yes, I DISTINCTLY remember the "I stole it from the government" line. And that it cost $14B.

I am a very freaky dreamer. I once had a dream where I was at school and my class and I were setting up X-mas decorations. Then, all of a sudden, I blurted out in my dream: "Wait. It's not Christmas!" Then the dream sort of melted and I woke up.

I also was half-asleep when I heard the phone ring in reality. My mind was still in some sort of dream mode, so I held my hand up to my mouth and said "hello?" Weird.

Then get this. Once, in my sleep, I told my grandma: "I have a hard time throwing rocks at you."

Just a few nights ago I had a dream of Petey Piranha eating a person.

I also once had a dream where I was in a school race that involved running up the stairs and, to me, an unknown floor. Somehow I won third place, and after my two friends from school got their first and second place medals, I walked up to receive my third place one, but I woke up, looking for my medal. (This also falls under the category of realistic dreams; the ones that feel so real you think they are real).

My dad once had a dream that a tornado was coming toward his house. The tornado then fell over and kids came to play on it; they went from one side of the tornado to the other, like it was a slide.

Last night I had a dream where there are four roommates: A businessman, a young guy, a younger businesslady, and everyone's favorite Italian plumber.  The young guy said funny stuff in his sleep, so, because he was getting annoyed by the spastic Mario, the businessman dragged the napping young guy next to the napping spaz.  Then, at some point, Mario kissed the younger businesslady.  Like I said, Mario was a spaz in this.  Then I supposedbly woke up, and it was raining.  I looked out the window, and saw my dad moving some farm machinery.  We have a garage now, but the setting here was what our front yard looked like before the garage was even put in.  Had the sidewalk going down a slope to the driveway, and I'm pretty sure the porch, which we tore down a few years ago in place of the garage, was there.  Okay, I live on a county highway.  In the dream, I walked to where the driveway meets the highway, and some big farm machinery was driving by.  A farn disk just narrowly missed me and the mailbox.  Then the dream ended, and I woke up for real.

Dreams are always fun. I like to write them down and make them into short stories in my spare time.

Here is one of my more interesting ones. This happened in January.

I was sitting in my living room, which at the time was where I practiced my trombone. (I play trombone often at my church, play in two community bands, and compose, usually in the classic German style; plus I used to teach lessons). I had a few folding chairs set up (as I did when I was teaching) but they weren't occupied by any students who ever took from me. One of them was a guy I played trombone with for seven years at my middle and high school, and is also one of my best friends. Another of my closest friends was there too, although he never has played trombone. Neither had any sort of instrument. Next to me was a girl who played flute in the band but was, for whatever reason, taking trombone lessons from me. I was teaching her and she wasn't all that bad.

We decided to step outside for whatever reason. However, we were in for a huge shock. The street wasn't the one my house should be on, but was the one from my old neighborhood (I moved over ten years ago). It didn't look like 1995, either, since there were a few vacant lots (which didn't exist in that neighborhood past about 1961) and the cars on the street looked quite old. My car, which is a 1988, was in the garage. The door to the garage was open and it was clear that it was the newest car there (and probably the only import).

The mailman came by, as did another one of my friends. This mailman, whose name was Mike, is a man who stopped serving my old neighborhood in 1991. I have not seen Mike since then. My friend was dressed in her current clothes, so it wasn't like she was a throwback like the rest of the neighborhood, but she seemed very upset and was crying. She didn't say what was wrong, she just seemed very sad about something.

Now for the crazy part. I had realized IN THE DREAM that I had stepped out of the wrong house to the wrong neighborhood. And this is the strangest part here. If I was indeed in that house, which I saw behind me, that living room would not exist. The living room is to the left of my front door in my current house. At my old house, the garage was to the left of the front door (it was attached) and the only thing to the left when one enters that house is a wall and the steps to go to the second floor. Garage entry was behind the staircase in the kitchen. Frustrated, I called for my friends (including my very sad friend) to come inside. Strangely enough, the house inside was my current house. Turning to the left led to the living room. Outside the window was my current street. I went outside again since my friend was so upset about something, and found not only that she had disappeared (the other three didn't know what had happened to her) and that the neighborhood was still my old one.

This is where I woke up. I'm currently developing this further. I want to fill in blanks--why was my friend so upset, why was my other friend taking trombone lessons, if she was the student why were those other two guys there too, and what would happen if I took the car out for a spin in what appeared to be 1958 or so. Most importantly, where did my upset friend come from? And what was Mike the mailman doing there and why did he even show up if I hadn't seen him in 15 years?

Any dream interpreters here who want to take a stab at this one, feel free to do so.

You were probably just having a recollection of the past. You know, reliving those fond memories (the same thing happens to me a lot). The friend who was crying and the mailman probably represent you wanting to go back and experience the past again (everyone does at some point).

You're probably right. I've always wanted to move back to my old neighborhood and I'm over there a lot. And when I had the dream, I hadn't seen that girl for five months. I also knew she was going through a rough time in her life based on what someone had told me (she had been in and out of the hospital a lot) so maybe that's why she was sad?

I'll consider posting the short story I develop out of this once I finish it. I've done some work on it already and hope to write more tonight. Whenever I have a boring night where I get in early or something I usually stay up and write. It's theraputic for me for some reason.

I had the weirdest dream the other night.
I dreamed that Fairemaster returned to the FF, but this time, he wanted revenge on everybody. So he started randomly kidnapping people (including me). I can't remember who was left, though. But Deezer banned Fairemaster and then he dissappeared and everything turned back to normal.
I know, it dosn't make any sense.

I had a fairly vivid dream, not too long ago (like, this week, or something)...

I dreamt that the school year had started again (or, this could've been the previous year, dunno), and some friends of mine were talking about the Wii, and there was a conversation about it for awhile. For some reason, Genta Kojima (http://www.tanteikid.com/images/portrait/kg.gif) was among my friends, and we spoke with him as if we've been friends with him for years. (Odd, because he's only about the age of a first grader, and all of us were between the ages of 16-18.)

Later that day, I was at a store and saw an open room with no light in it. I went into it, and I'm sure my face was glowing when I saw a Wii on the floor. There was a note on it that said:

Take it
it's free ^_^

And I took it, but was puzzled when I saw that it was mounted or glued to some sort of tray with something else (seeing later that the other thing read Famicom Disks).

My dream went to the next day at school, and I told my friends (once again, including Genta) about something I had to show them. We went to the elevator in the school (there really is a working elevator there, but in this dream, it had been malfunctioning for whatever reason). I had opened it once no one was looking, and the friends all followed me into it, and quickly closed it before anyone on hall duty came back. Apparently, I knew of a secret door inside the elevator that took us into a dark room no teacher or other staff knew about.

In there was the Wii I took from the store yesterday (how and when I put it in the room, I do not know), along with the tray and other thing (it looked kinda like the Wii, but was smaller and red) I could not remove the Wii from. Everyone was quite surprised and amazed.

One friend asked "what's that other thing?" and I replied "I dunno, but it can play FAMICOM DISKS!" before holding up a few in my hand (again, where these things came from, I do not know). And we played the Wii as well as a few of the FDS games for awhile (Ah right, there was a TV in the room, or something).

And then I woke up...and banged my hand on the mattress because I didn't want to wake up.

I had a pretty strange dream a few weeks ago.

I was at some kind of fair that every Fungi Forum member was supposed to be in. I was outside with a pan (like the kind you would cook a turkey or chicken in) filled with liquid butter and four pieces of butter toast. I sat there for supposedly the whole day, eating three pieces of toast while there. Once one was left, Sapph came by and told me how everyone else was making money by selling food (I think), and I just said something like, "Yeah, and all I got is my toast!" I chuckled as she walked away, and then headedfor a tent. Bird Person was in there, selling ice cream. I walked up to him, but some other unknown forum member pulled me to the side and started blabbing. ("So, you came to meet me, didn't you? ..........) After I escaped the person, I went to talk with BP again, and he looked just like one of my friends. He told me he was making 5 cents for every ice cream item sold, and I was like, "No way!" like it was that big of a deal.

The next thing I know, Bird Person is driving home with my dad and I, and then we're home, watching TV. My dad then falls asleep, then BP is asleep, and I slowly drift into sleep, waking up when I go to sleep in my dream.

I had a dream last night that I was in my boxers and all messed up, I had a shirt on.  My parents werent home so I decided to take the van out for a drive, with my boxers on, and no shoes.  I drove to the location of what was supposed to be Video King, but instead it was a BestBuy.  I went in all messed up, and one of the help thought I was shop lifting.  I told her to search me for anything, but she decided not to because there was no possible way to hide anything in my cloths.  I left, not finding what I was looking for (like usual), and I had a deep anxiety attack when I got out, I realized that my mom and dad would probably find out.  That dream cut out and I was suddenly roaming a christamas landscape, with fabulous decorations all over this log cabin town.  Then that dream cut out and I was on this train, me and some other people were in the last cart at the end, when suddenly we went over bumps and we flew up in the air, being derailed, but landing back on the rails.  I jumped off because we reached my Nana's house for some odd reason, and she told me to go under the railroad bridge and pick some flowers, and weed the rest of the area underneath to make it look better.

Well, I have some kind of a flu-cold like thing, and I woke up at about 6:30 AM due to a stuffed up nose. I blew my nose, and went back to sleep. I had a dream (that was literally only 5 minutes long), and I dreamed that I was in the book that I was reading for school (Where the Lillies Bloom). I was in the book, and after about 4 minutes in the dream, I felt like I started to suffocate. I woke up to another stuffed up nose. I blew my nose again, then went back to sleep. I kept on dreaming that I was in that book, and I always kept waking up due to the sensation of suffocating. Strange.

One that's NOT wacko, eh?

Here's one. I was in the lounge area at my college and at this table were two of my close friends from high school (both of whom still go there). I don't know if I was a few years older then (I would have had to be a senior if both of them were there). It was great because I love those two to death--they are like my little sisters.

The only strange thing (although this may also be a good thing) is that we acted like there was nothing strange about being at this college together! I know they both want to go to a larger place but perhaps they finally saw the light in my dream! We were sitting around talking about just about everything, still looking exactly the same as we do now even if this thing was in the future. One of them was injured but she's got a new injury every other month so it's nothing new. Also, they were both wearing the same Abercrombie & Fitch top for some reason. (All three of us are hopelessly in love with that store)

Now that was a good dream. Better than the nightmarish ones I've had a lot of lately.

Yay phor topic revival. >_>

Anyways, I've had two dreams that are remotely familliar. But insted of making a summary of both of them, I've decided to make bullet points marking major "points" in the dreams (it would take up WAY too much space if I summarized both of them. I've tried before, and it didn't work). I had the first dream on February third:
Feb 3, 2007
 - "Spawn" in Train Station
 - Find rifle
 - Run into schoolhouse
 - Find room full of Nazis, about 3-5
 - Take out all of them
 - Find sniper rifle
 - Get out of school
 - Make way into Tractor Factory
 - Find Germans, one inside a tank
 - Take out Germans
[/end]

And the one I had just last night:
Feb. 26, 2007
 - "Spawn" in train station
 - Get out of train station, run past Water Tower
 - Run into Schoolhouse
 - Escape, making a way through a "neighborhood"
 - Arrive at Tractor Factory
 - Go inside Tractor Factory
 - Go into room full of dissassembled tanks
 - Find rifle
[/end]

What's familliar about both of them? These:
 - In both of them, it is raining, and cloudy. The surrounding trees are always "dead".
 - They are both set in WWII.
 - Main structures in both of them are a Schoolhouse, a Tractor Factory, and a Train Station.
 - Both of them involve finding a Mosin-Nagant rifle, with scoped or unscoped variations.
 - Both involve me going inside the Tractor Factory.
 - Both involve me finding a room full of disassembled German Tiger II tanks.
 - They both take place in the town of Ponyri, Russia.
 - The setting was the exact same as a Call of Duty: United Offensive version of the map.

I've recently had a bunch of wacko dreams due to being sick, and some before that which I forgot to post.

For now I'll say that last night I had a long dream where I joined a high profile club but found out later on that it was really some sort of Neo Terrorist organization. Somehow I knew that would happen, though.

#1) I like how CTOAN presented his dream. It was much more attractive to read than a giant block of text like most dreams here.

#2) Haha, you really do "spawn" into your dreams now that you mention it. It's hard to remember the start of a dream, but I'm totally using that terminology from now on.

For some reason, I've had some pretty epic or memorable dreams recently. Just two days ago, I was ice skating in our high school's cafeteria-turned-into-a-gym-with-enormous-empty-swimming-pool. That dream ended when they were covering up the rink for a basketball game.

But most recently, I had a dream which appeared to combined Knights of the Old Republic 2, Twilight Princess, and random stuff from the depths of my mind.

I remember it beginning with a severely injured person who had all organs removed and placed in a clear cylinder of liquid. This person had been brutally assaulted and almost killed by some group of bad people who were trying to cover up something. I began my adventure looking at these grotesque remains in a technologically advanced office building, being briefed about what was to come.

Enter KOTOR2: many of the people looked like the people in that respective game. A military leader showed me a strange crystal of unknown origin, and then the building came under fire. Thousands of unstoppable shards came raining through the ceiling! These shards looked like parts of the strange crystal, and as people screamed and ran around, I managed to escape with some female office technician. Enter another KOTOR2 thing: The party system. It felt like I was controlling a real time RPG now, with another person in the party.

Memory lapse...

Spy mission. I joined a team of elite snipers in an attempt to infiltrate a summer camp, for unknown reasons. I remember sneaking through the wilderness and clambering on the roof of old and ugly wooden buildings.

Memory lapse...

A new party member! I saved a Twilight Princess goat from being sacrificed by a tribe of pilgrims (black hat, buckled shoes, wtd). This goat, somehow, was hyperintelligent, and managed to pull its weight in battle as I, the office technician, and the goat made our way towards the big bad group of unknown crystal wielding people. We began a long trek across Hylian fields and crossed creaky rope bridges across canyons. I recall being attacked by morphball-like creatures, and disabling explosives meant to break a certain bridge.

As fun as it was, no dream lasts forever (unless you're in a coma). I eventually woke up because my arms, one of which had been under my head, the under beneath my pillow, hurt. This concludes yet another bizarre and difficult to explain dream of mine.

I had some interesting dreams while my internet was down, but I can't remember what they were about. :(
