Okay, I loved the Mario toys Wendy's put out before (moreso than those Active MD's ones that came out around September), but these top them all. Starting this month (I presume sometime this month) Nintendo and Wendy's are teaming up once again to bring us...

WiiToys! (to view, click "Coming Soon")

Of course, even though there's no true "Mario" game out on the Wii, leave it to Nintendo to find a way to tie Mario into this. Looks like he's pretty excited to be riding that turtle shell (maybe even too excited), but how exactly are we going to move it with that Wiimote? Also, check out the disc shooter in the corner, in all it's NEW Super Mario Bros. Concept Art glory. I hope the other disk feature other Nintendo Wii games (or maybe a few miis??).

Hrm, any suggestions for future toys?

Extra Lives if you figure out what each one is. Poison 'Shroom if you think Red Steel should've been a disc(it'd probably still have terrible graphics and controls)...

What? No Zelda? That was Wii's best launch title (not to mention Nintendo's killler app for 2006)! After saving all of Hyrule from the Twillight, the least Nintendo could do for Link is honor him in toy form...

And what's that toy on the bottom left-hand corner? It looks like some sort of card. I wonder if it's a Wii points card... that would be awesome.

Other than the lack of Zelda, it looks pretty good. The Mario figure looks good (even though Mario Galaxy is months away), and you can control with the mini Wii-mote apparently. That's always a plus. I find the Wiimote pog launcher to be a bit... odd. That Excite Truck toy looks pretty good, and I the Wii sports baseball park looks kinda fun.

Let's keep a close eye on Wendy's site to see if they reveal more info.

It said something about being a "two sided puzzle."
Remember that your first Goomba boldly you walk? When Mario touched that mushroom being brought up more largely remember that you are surprised? Miscalculate your jump that pit remember that it falls?

What's Super Paper Mario then?

by "true" meaning in the 'Super Mario' series line (SMB1, SMB2, SMB3, SMW,SM64,SMS,NSMB). Paper Mario is its own series that uses Mario characters

Why is that? Doesn't Miyamoto supervise it, doesn't it pertain to the Mario series, isn't it mind-blowingly good? It's just because it's part RPG, isn't it?!

Ah, I know! Perhaps the "main" series is made by the central "main" Nintendo company, whereas the Paper Mario games are made by Intelligent Systems, which while part of Nintendo, isn't the same part that makes the majority of the Mario games.

I consider all Mario games equally canon, but as far as merchandising goes, only the "main" series games seem to get out as toys and other collectibles, as I've seen, at least.
I'll think of a better signature later!

Oh sweet!  CHICKEN SOCKS!!!

I mean...........  uh yeah, cool toys guys.  I bet the two sided puzzle is, as the name suggests, a simple puzzle with an image on each side.  SPOILARZ:  If it's like in the picture you can just flip it over when your done.  Duh.  And Mario looks like he's running from that Wiimote.  I doubt it's remote controlled.  That'd be too cool for kids meal toys.  I suppose the Wiimote could launch him though....

Super Paper Mario has both "super" and "Mario" in the title. Also why are SM64 and SMS more legitimate than SPM? Both the 3D platformers and the 2.5D platformer are radically different from the original four. SM64 and SMS (to a larger degree) use their own characters as well.
That was a joke.

I'm saying SPM is as much a "true" Mario game as the other platformers.
That was a joke.

Well, he does have the point that it was developed by Intelligent Systems and not EAD or whatever they're called these days.

On the other hand, it doesn't matter.  We're talking about Happy Meal toys here.  I want the one that shoots!
Today's actually... nobody's birthday!  Quick, hurry up and make a baby!

How ridiculous is that? Jack has gone too far.

Well he hasn't "gone" anywhere YET, but he's a pretty ridiculous person... It's just as logical to say that Wendy's is supporting pornography--Wii has Internet access, pr0n is on the Internet... yeah, Wendy's is a dirty dirty company. But hey, they're also supporting TMK!

Jack Thompson's articles are also on the internet; therefore, Wendy's is supporting him.

Seriously, that is one messed-up assumption...

When I first saw the title of this thread, I thought Wendy's had introduced a new line of Lord of the Rings toys for their kids' meals.
