Deezer: When you enter sprites for Mario and the partners, go to Creepy Steeple. Go to the place under the star statue where the background is completely black, which may make it easier to get them.

I don't think the "various" characters are needed. They're not really a part of the Mario Bros. universe, they're just to fill up Luigi's stories.

Well, sure, but individual items are listed. Those such as Jerry the Bob-omb have sprites, they're not JUST mentioned. They have some info, they have an appearance, what's un-Mariopedic about it?
