Game Help / Re: Do you find glitches that affect gameplay helpful?

Uhhhhh... no. I find glitches that affect gameplay to be messups in the game.

Yeps.

If you want to be different, be someone that most (99%) of the people hate, like Jigglypuff!

Mario Chat / Re: Super Smash Bros. Character Suggestions

Also on the topic of character suggestions, I bet no one mentioned Nester yet (and if they did, I'm not willing to read through 15+ pages.)  I'd love to see Nester, although I'm not sure what he could do, considering he's only been in two games that I know of.  Maybe he could bludgeon people with NES controllers or something...

The only game I can think of right now is the ROM I downloaded of Chrono Trigger. Funny, I was just thinking of it earlier today. I always make sure to complete games I actually buy.

You remind me of my friend.  Everyone should complete Chrono Trigger.

Anyway, this is exactly what I was thinking of the other day...

PSP
Loco Roco (which I really want to finish)
Mega Man: Powered Up (which is stupid with a capital 'S')
ATV Offroad Fury: Blazin' Trails (which doesn't interest me)

I mainly don't play them because my PSP is dedicated to emulation anyway.

N64
Tetrisphere
Pokemon Stadium
Pokemon Stadium 2

SNES
Wario's Woods
Sim City (which I never even started playing.)

NES
Legend of Zelda II: Adventure of Link
Super Mario Bros. *gasp*

Genesis
Sonic the Hedgehog
Sonic the Hedgehog 2

The only Sonic game I ever beat was Sonic 3 & Knuckles

Gamecube
F-Zero GX
Spyro: Enter the Dragonfly (DO NOT buy this game!)

That's all I can think of right now...

That should not have happened......  Perhaps Deezer should get that looked at.

Anyway, I don't think bobman is a traitor any more than I am a traitor for owning a PSP and not wanting a DS.

JIGGLYPUFF 4EVER!!!!!shift+1!!!!111!!!

No seriously.  I looove Jigglypuff for the sole purpose of proving everyone wrong that thinks Jigglypuff is the worst character.  Nintendo had better leave him in Brawl.  My nickname when using him is ICBD (Incredibly Cute, But Deadly.)

Just so you know, I do have reasons beyond proving people wrong.  He's a good power hitter (at least I thinks so), he has an almost one hit kill move, and everyone hates him.  What is more sweet than pwning your friends with characters that they loathe?  Anyway, I'll probably never hear the end of it from any Jigglypuff haters on this thread (and it's Jigglypuff, with no hypenation.)

A lot of puzzle games aren't endless; you just haven't played them enough :-p
For instance,

Yoshi's Cookie (NES/GB) has two endings, one after level 10-10 and one after level 99-10.

Did you actually play through Yoshi's Cookie to level 99-10, or do you just know?  I don't think I could bring myself to play Yoshi's Cookie that much...

But there's no way he can do it.  No way.  Nooooooo way.  You could spend a few weeks on the NES section alone.  When are you going to sleep?

Video Game Chat / Re: Which boss is the most important?
« on: July 20, 2007, 05:28:06 PM »
It might just be because I've been playing it so much lately, but Cave Story seems to have a good sampling of all of these...  Although some bosses in it fit in more than one category.  Balrog is both first and recurring, and Ballos was both secret and last.

Last boss is most important in my book, because there are some (albeit bad) games that don't HAVE any other bosses.  Although I'd go for recurring or secret for the most fun bosses.

Farting in games cannot phase me, for I grew up with a game wherein you actually psychically possess your own toots to do your bidding.

Wow.  What game was this?  And that pic of Yoshi always bugged me....

It's amazing how fast topics can derail, but I'm not complaining.

I love my screen name.  I came up with it when I needed a name for playing Warioware because my actual name is longer than 5 characters.  So I typed "Fwirt" and I liked it.  Plus, most people eventually ask me what it means, to which I reply, "Nothing."  Vidgmchtr thinks it sounds like a beverage. :P

Always start your day with a tall glass of refreshing Diet Fwirt!

I've beaten 2 and 3, as well as most other mainstream Mario games that I've played.  SMB is the exception.  I think the farthest I've ever gotten was 8-2.  Does that make me any less of a Mario fan?

Some people need to get a life though.

Just curious because (gasp!) I never have.  Legitimate counts as without cheat codes/glitches, you can use warp pipes as much as you want.

Maybe it was Jazz Jackrabbit or something.

I don't think Jazz Jackrabbit was ever ported to Genesis...

Claymation could be Clayfighter...  I don't know very many games where you light candles to beat stages, besides LoZ.

Ugh, I hate it when they do this.  I'm so used to SNES that it took me a while to adjust to X (B) as okay and O (A) as cancel.  THEN I put custom firmware on my PSP and most of the software switches the standard X and O configuration.  I'm used to it now, but it still bugs me.

I guess I just restated what Chupperson said.  :P
