Why does Banjo say "Jumbo!"?

I was wondering why Banjo from Banjo-Kazooie says "Jumbo!" when he's falling from a heigh hight or when he and Kazooie do the Bok Beamb. Isn't it strange, because Jumbo means superbig or something like that.

he doesn't. I use to think he did too but he actually says "uh-oh!"
