As we all may know. Sonic just celebrated his 15th birthday. In Japan, there was an actual party for him. (At least, the guy in the Sonic costume) Anyway, Mario shows up to wish Sonic a happy birthday.

I think they should be fighting each other instead of making peace. That'd be more fun to watch.
-
In Japan, they actually had a televised birthday party for a video game character!?
Jeez, I'll never understand the Japanese. Unless it was just a commercial. Still, pretty cool. I see Sonic is still pretty young.

I agree.
Mario: Hey, Sonic! I just dropped by to wish you a happy B-Day!
Sonic: ... *Leaning over to the cameraman, whispering* Who invited him?
Mario: C'mon, Sonic! Let's be friends!
Sonic: You killed my company.
Mario: Actually, Sony killed Sega.
Sonic: Did not!
Mario: Did too!
Sonic: Did not!
Mario: Did too!
*Sonic & Mario start physically fighting*
That would be awesome.

Dude, that's exactly what it was. A televised birthday party commercial for Sonic.
-
They did a similar thing for Micky Mouse here in the USA.
-
What, Mario showed up for that too?
-
No, I was just drawing a comparison. Televised birthday specials for fictional characters aren't limited to Japan, you know.
-
Naw, I think if they fought, it would be boring. I've seen enough of that in flash.
-
I like how people are too stubborn to see that Mario and Sonic aren't rivals anymore. They can be friends. If Nintendo and Sega decided to make a game featuring both characters I'd actually be very interested.
-
I once made a topic about that. Everyone seemed to be opposed to the idea.
-
Oh, yeah I remember that one, or was it just the storyline?
-
Why doesn't Mario show up at MY birthday parties?

This kind of attitude is the reason we don't get all the cool videogame action that Japan does.

True, true. I really wanted to see Rythem Heaven stateside, and a lot of people wanted Earthbound 2, I hear. There's tons of other games I wanted Nintendo to translate into english, but we'll probably never see. Kinda sad, actuallly.

If Crash Bandicoot showed up drunk bragging about his games, that would be great.
-
...I liked the Crash Bandicoot games. :/
-
What made you stop liking them?
-

That would be sweet. It reminds me of when I doctored a photo so that I was standing right next to Yakko Warner.
-

Naughty Dog doesn't make them anymore. They had to give the character some other company if I recall correctly. This was sometime after they finished Crash Bandicoot 3: Warped!, or Crash Team Racing, I forget which.
-
It was CTR. The Wrath of Cortex wasn't half bad, juts more of the same. Twinsanity was a good idea, but a lot of stuff that was planned for it didn't make the cut.
-
The first Crash Bandicoot game was pretty fun. It was the first 3D game I ever played.
-
I thought the second and third ones were the best. The first one was very experimental. Not many things refined.
