Would the PokeTransfer feature of the Pokémon Box game still work?

I think so, since Box relies on NN instead of NWC for the cloud storage.

Well, personally I finf it ok that Nintendo shut it down in the first place. Why? Because now they can divert more resourced for Nintendo Network infrastricture development.

Actually, it had more to do with GameSpy shutting down. This was pretty much out of their control.
