so that's what I can understand by looking at pics:

the "new secred game mechanic" is TEAM PLAY! two racers may stay on the same kart. One drives, the other fires shells or bananas at opponents.

koopa troopa is back!

birdo is a cool new entry (teaming up with yoshi... it is supposed that yoshies and birdos are related species)

boxes look like in MK64. Also I don't see coins.

Karts have different design(not just different color karts then) I think it is possible to drive someone's else kart (in one pic Luigi is driving Peach/Daisy's kart)

AweSOME!! Hey, did anyone notice Diddy was in there? It looks like teams are determined by 2 characters that have the most in common.
I hope they still keep the classic 1-seat *GO*kart style, though, like with team and single seat modes. Anyway, it looks sweet.

It looks like Bowser Jr. to me. The differences b/w Baby Bowser and Bowser Jr. are subtle, but Jr. doesn't have horns. Look closely at the shot w/ Mario tossing a bananaat them--at the 1-4th rankings on the side.

BTW, what's this deal b/w Yoshi and Birdo--you know, the rumors? Aren't they just simply paired together (like in Mario Tennis) 'cuz they're both dino-like? I mean, they're completely different species, otherwise.

They are paired together because they are the closest matchup you can get. Who else are you going to match Yoshi to?

Anyway, it looks awesome.
This is one reason I'm glad Nintendo dropped Rare... they got all the Kongs and Star Fox Adventures characters.
