Sorry about that. I forgot that those were on this site before. And what's more, I didn't read the topic carefully, which says that you're supposed to talk about glitches that you found YOURSELF. Guess where I found that one? This site! Silly me.

Anyway, once a long time back an accidental glitch occurred on my friend's copy of SMW. It's a lot like a glitch documented on David Wonn's game glitch site (forgot the exact address). It's a very cool and funny glitch where Mario rides a Chargin' Chuck instead of Yoshi - and the Chuck has a hammer for a body! The problem is, whoever sent in the instructions for the glitch on David Wonn's site made them very hard to understand. Could any of you guys help me out?

Thanks for your help, guys. My system has begun to work again, though still not well; I have to re-insert games to get them to work. I'll keep your advice in mind, though I don't really think the blow on and hit technique is a good idea.

There's another SMB glitch similar to the one above. When you step on the axe and on Bowser as Super or Fire Mario, you go on to the next stage with Mario sizes reversed! (Mushroom makes Super Mario small, flower makes small Mario SMALL & FIERY, etc.)

General Chat / Hilarious captions in Revenge of the Sith

A friend of mine posted this link on the KRR message board. This is a bit old, but it was new to me and to some others. I was wondering if you all saw it before. It basically concerns captions in Star Wars Ep. 3 that were translated into Chinese and then back into English.

Link

Swear warning.

Video Game Chat / Priceless Moments
« on: May 13, 2005, 11:08:15 PM »
Post here to talk about any funny things that happened to take place in a video game.

I'll start. I once was playing Donkey Kong Country 2 with my brother in Co-op Mode. I was controlling Dixie and he was controlling Diddy. By then I had pretty well mastered the game, but my brother was still getting the hang of it. Anyway, we got to the fifth boss, the ghost (you know who I mean), and after a number of deaths, we, or more specifically I, had brought him down to the last hit. Then, when Dixie, controlled by me, was about to hit him with a barrel, she got hit and ran away. But the barrel still hit the boss, and killed him. Diddy was left, so he stole all the glory, and began to play his boom box as he collected the coin. Then Diddy's face appeared on the whole level, even though he didn't really beat the boss! My brother and I thought this was hilarious.

Forum Games / Mario Elimination Round 2: Double Time!
« on: April 05, 2005, 09:00:07 PM »
Rules:
In this elimination round, you can vote for TWO characters and boot TWO characters on each turn. Each vote gives a character 1 point, and each boot takes away 2 points (VOTE = +1, BOOT + -2). You cannot vote for the same character twice or boot the same character twice on one turn.

Right:

Vote: Mario, Luigi
Boot: Lemmy Koopa, Gooper Blooper

Wrong:

Vote: Mario, Mario
Boot: Lemmy Koopa, Gooper Blooper

If you want to vote for (or boot) only one character on a particular turn, you can give that character one vote (or boot) and no more.

Example:

Vote: Luigi
Boot: Lemmy Koopa, Gooper Blooper

If you have any questions, ask me or look back at the end of the first Elimination Round.

Game Help / N64 Help
« on: March 18, 2005, 09:59:35 PM »
I just purchased a used N64. It came without a manual and without games; I'm going to get a game (SM64) soon. Anyway, since there is no manual I'd like to ask some questions about how to use the N64; I have never owned one before.

How do you use memory cards? Is there a way to erase previous data saved on them, which was there before you got them?

I saw in the SM64 manual text on this site something about the control stick, a certain "hand configuration", and the "right position". What does this stuff mean? Is there something special I need to know about the controller?

Do any of the Mario-related N64 games need the Expansion Pack? Do any of them support the Rumble Pak?

If there's anything else you think I ought to know about the N64, please tell me. Thanks.

Video Game Chat / Kirby games.
« on: March 07, 2005, 09:27:11 PM »
How many people here are Kirby fans? Besides Mario-related games, Kirby games are my favorites. Those of you who like them, what Kirby games you have and which ones are your favorites?

I have:

Kirby's Dream Land (GB)
Kirby's Adventure (NES)
Kirby's Dream Land 2 (GB)
Kirby Super Star (SNES)
Kirby's Dream Land 3 (SNES)
Kirby: Nightmare in Dream Land (GBA)
Kirby and the Amazing Mirror (GBA)
Kirby Air Ride (GCN) - Just got this one!

I especially like Kirby's Adventure (my first) and Kirby Super Star, and Kirby Air Ride is great so far!

Mario Chat / Wario World
« on: January 29, 2005, 09:24:00 PM »
So, what do you think about this game? I got it not too long ago, and just finished it completely tonight. It's AWESOME from start to finish! I can't believe this game is so obscure and underrated; it seems that a lot of people think the game stinks. But some, like myself, think it is a game far above average quality.

If you like this game, post here. Discuss whatever you want about it. What's your favorite enemy/boss? What's your favorite downloadable microgame? Does its instruction booklet, in your opinion, rank among the most humorous instruction booklets in existence? I'm looking forward to hearing from you!
