http://www.cnn.com/2006/WORLD/asiapcf/09/04/australia.irwin/index.html Wow, I couldn't believe this at first. Steve Irwin "The Crocodile Hunter" is actually dead. I guess it was bound to happen eventually, what with him working with all these dangerous animals, but in the back of my mind I always asumed that he would actually survive to retirment. Oh well, Rest in peace man, rest in peace.

This is, indeed, a sad occurence. I have fond memories of watching Animal Planet day after day just to hear his thick accent and see his dangerous encounters with all manner of deadly animals.

Saddest of all, however, is that he left behind a charished family.

For all the overtly dangerous stuff he messed with, he sure got killed by an unlikely animal.

Funnily enough, he tried to prove that the animal that killed him wasn't dangerous.

I wasn't fascinated by his antics in the first place, so I do not find this very shocking. :/

I just can't believe he's dead. I mean, it was bound to happen, but then again, you always think he'd live forever.

It's funny how the thing he loved most in life killed him.

I can't really say 'I didn't see this coming', but I also thought, in the back of my mind, that he'd survive to retirement. :(  It's just hard to believe he won't be entertaining us with his his encounters with deadly animals anymore.

When I first heard the news, I thought, "Did I misread that headline?" But, sadly, I didn't. I also put my topic on this in the wrong area so I look like a fool, but that's far beside the point. Hopefully, other entertainers like him will learn that you have to be, I dunno, extra careful near any animal.
