What does the term "brand recognition" mean to you

Hell, you could leave it untitled and just have a picture of Mario and Pikachu on the box and it'd sell
All your dreeeeeeams begiiin to shatterrrrrr~
It's YOUR problem!

Yeah, selling the game to as many people as possible is totally a bad thing.

Super Smash Brothers anything will sell copies until the franchise proves itself to no longer be of quality. I'd buy Super Smash Brothers Tea. I would drink Super Smash Brothers if they'd let me.

That makes fewer servings than you'd think.

Even putting The Chef's immediate response aside, Smash is not to games as reality shows are to television.  I don't understand how tournament players and long-time Nintendo customers qualify as LCD.

I mean, the pros are going to whine about whatever changes to the game are made but they'll still play it up and down and develop an extensive metagame for it.

"The name is going to make it a tough sell",

"The brand name alone is going to make it sell".

"Yeah... to the widest audience."

I'm not saying pros are the lowest common denominator. I'm talking more about poor people who have been brainwashed by brand recognition and will buy anything if it has Mario on it.

Every time I see one of KoopaTripper's posts, I think of glorb.
Formerly quite reasonable.
