While babysitting, Gina and Jess were playing Super Mario Bros. They found that the fireball attacks were not working on the black hairlike enemies. After picking up a Star, they were able to kill the enemies by running into them. "What are these? Star Girls?" They asked.
-
Those are called Buzzy Beetles.

Umm... what?

...Sounds like they've never played a Super Mario game before. And yeah, Buzzy Beatles' shells are tougher than Koopa Troopas. That's why they're seen more frequently in harder levels (Worlds 1-1* to 8-4* levels in SMB).

I've read slash fiction that had more dignity than this.

Everyone replying here is missing the point. Tv_Themes's story is an interesting illustration of gender's role in assuming the star item's sex. Plus, it's wonderfully written. I love reading the four sentences over and over, savoring the tiny vignette it places in my mind.

To put it more bluntly, the girls in the micro-fiction (which has no relation to the diarrhea that comes out of Wario's
anus factory) seem to think the Buzzy Beetle shell, is long hair on a female midget. Since the only thing that kills them is the Starman, the girls decide to call the enemies "Star Girls" for some reason.
The girls are babysitting a toddler me fyi.

You shouldn't have put it bluntly. Now that I know the truth behind your writing, I don't like it anymore.

"No. They're called Buzzy Beetles." A voice from behind replied, answering Gina and Jess's collective question.
"Everyone knows that. What are you, toddlers?"
Gina jumped at the voice. Who else could be in the house?
Gina grabed Jess by the arm and slowly turned around.
"....It can't be!" yelped Jess, the toddler.
"That's correct," the voice said. "I am the Star Girl."
