Title: Mature Discussion (leave all joking at the door)
Post by: sadib100 on August 03, 2009, 07:06:45 PM: Should we kill severely retarded people? I don't mean the regular retard people (i.e. most of the members here). I mean the low functioning ones that can't even move or feed themselves. We could cook them, and feed them to the millions of people who are starving worldwide. They are only a burden on the world. The money spend on keeping them alive could be spent on something useful.

What are your comments on my idea?

The side that makes us different, that makes us care about our family members when they become vegetables: "Of course not." If I were in that position and had a mentally disabled friend or other loved one, especially if he or she had only just become so, there's no way I'd send them to die.

In theory: Yeah. In practice: Ouch.

You're still consuming resources so that your tissue can keep living without you, so it can keep being useless compared to a decomposing corpse. I wouldn't want that for my loved ones. I would just want them to remember me as I am now.

And, in the face of what I said earlier, I'd grant the requests of those who would also choose death. I wouldn't want to be in the room when they pulled the plug, no, but I'd attend the funeral after and try to forget about the end.

Those born into this state don't have the chance to express their desires though. It's the parents' decision. And usually it's to try and get their kid a normal life somehow. I'm not going to argue it.

You do realize that Walt Disney wasn't actually cryogenicly frozen? He's dead.

Abortion is actually worse than my idea. Think about it. Killing embryos (potential life) is way worse than killing the severely retarded (potential nothing).

It's not like the patient's brain would eventually regain its former functionality. If the family wants to keep the not dead, but not alive loved one, well, not dead, but not alive, then that is their decision, unless the loved one stated, before losing functionality of course, that they don't want to be on life support.

Sadib100 is an internet troll that lives in Texas.

Etymology

"Marioguy" is simply a compound word using the words "Mario" and "guy" together, implying that he is a/the "Mario guy." His most recent alias, "Sadib100," is simply his first name with "100" trailing it, maybe implying that he is..... one hundred of something.^{[citation needed]}

First Appearance

Sadib100 appeared on The Mushroom Kingdom message boards in late 2003.^{[citation needed]} He seemed quite normal at first, but soon became something everyone hates on a relatively clean message board: a spammer.^[1]

TMK Era and "Yay"

During Marioguy's relatively annoying stay here, he used the word "yay" so much at this forum that the word is now considered a taboo among veteran forum members. Sapphira was so annoyed by the constant use of it that she threatened to ban anyone who said the word "yay." However, some people^[who?] thought it was hilarious. He had ultimately been banned just weeks after signing up.^[2]

Recent Career

Marioguy has appeared on the TMK forums once again, as "Sadib100."^[3] He had created the username quite a long time ago, but apparently checked if it was still active and as we all know, it was. He's back again doing the same thing as six years ago, but with a slightly less intrusive approach.... if you can even say that.

Game Over was also lulzy. The guy was so blunt and instigative yet managed to avoid a ban until he said something about Sapphira's religion. Funny how it took a personal attack before he got the banhammer when he was advocating beating up people with faith or tight jeans.
