why did they skip smb3 in the mario advance saga? are they going to go back? or is there just no love for one of my favorite smb games? please help!
-
They didn't skip it. We just don't know what they're going to do with it. Go look at about 5 other topics on here for a more detailed look at our hypotheses.

Maybe it's so special, you would only have fun playing it on the original NES.

Nah, that can't be it. I fired up my SMB3 today, and still can't beat that stupid level in world 8 with all those auto-scroll platforms and hundreds of Rocky Wrenches. But in a GBA incarnation, I could get tons of lives way easier and have a chance of beating the game, like I have with SMB2 and SMW.

Super Mario Bros. 3 is the next game in the Super Mario advance saga. Why they made SMW and YI before it, I have no clue.
Mariomania is still running wild! Whatcha gonna do Bowser, When Mario runs wild on you!

Marketing strategy. Don't forget, they did SMB2 first.

I *wish* they would release SMB2 for the next Mario Advance. That would be truly righteous.

You mean 2, or 3? Because they already did SMB2...
