Well, I don't see why you dislike the added characters, I mean, if a new show comes on (let's just say Spongebob, whether you like it or not), are you just not going to like it because you don't know any of the characters? I mean, the Kirby show added characters, yet so many plots did center around already Kirby characters (now I can tell no one here's played Kirby Superstar). I mean, when you really think about it, it's not like Kirby has the "widest variety" of characters. I understand if you don't like it just for... whatever, but I will get angry if it's just because of the added characters.

I agree with Meowrik. You seem to be ashamed of liking something just because it's not popular. If you like it, than don't say "oh, I'm gonna try to dislike it because it's not popular". I still like Pokemon (not the show though), even though I don't play the games anymore (I still like 'em, but now they're to redundant- so basically when I say I like Pokemon, I mean the creatures/idea in general).

Ummm... isn't Super Mario 128 supposed to be on the GAMECUBE, considering the "128 Mario" thing at the Spaceworld thing, and the fact that the Gamecube's graphics are 128 bit, and Super Mario 64 was on the Nintendo 64 with 64 bit graphics. Man, I thought it might be true that they're releasing a new platformer (not called Super Mario 128, of course), but right when I saw those screenshots, I was so mad that, well, I did not express it at all, but I was mad on the inside.

(I only read the first few posts so if someone already said any of this, please forgive me) My brother actually showed me that scene from the Japanese Pokemon episode when James has the inflated breast, and it's funny because it deflates while Jessie's talking to Misty, and he blows it back up. Just about everyone knows about the seizure episode, and I read about the one when the guy sticks that gun right at Ash's nose (funny because in one of the older ones that was released in America, some other guy stuck a sword right up to Ash's nose, and I don't think it's any more or less dangerous than a gun when it's right up to him) with a screenshot, it actually didn't look bad at all, but I understand why they consider it "too violent". Anyway, really the only show I like based on a video game was Kirby: Right Back At Ya!, because they actually managed to take so much stuff from Kirby Super Star (best Kirby game ever), and they have good plots (:cough: Super Mario Bros. Shows :cough:).

Wow, that's retarded. First, what if I want all of those features, I'd have to buy the different versions of the consoles? Second, I would NOT pay $700 for the console/computer thing unless it was Nintendo. I hope this puts Sony out of business (the console business, at least). With the XBox and Playstation 2, I forget more and more of the time when Nintendo was the dominating and most beloved video game company...

Ok, I know the Pokemon show isn't good anymore, but don't badmouth Kirby! Sure, Escargo is new, and maybe a few others, but they improve the show because they don't always involve the characters you're used to. A lot of the characters are from Kirby Super Star, and a lot of the abilities are from Kirby('s Adventure/Nightmare in Dreamland), so if you haven't played any of those, it's no wonder. Really, not many of the characters aren't in the game anyway.

Oh, didn't realize there were replies to this. =P Anyway, I read it in both a book about video games (High Score) and some old interview with Shigeru Miyamoto. I don't mean Mario's based on Pac-Man (even though in the cartoon he's claimed to eat a lot) but more of the inspiration for creating an arcade game.

If they're a paratroopa, they grow a shell back and fly up, if they're a koopa troopa, they grow another shell, grow paratroppa wings, fly back up and the wings are gone, if they're a goomba, they steal a paratroopa shell, fly up, dispose of the shell, etc.
