Video Game Chat / Re: Let's review...
« on: July 07, 2015, 07:55:06 PM »
Hey, I liked and continue to like TP the most out of all the Zelda series. If I were to object to anything in your review, it would be this:

Quote
Twilight Princess had more of a sense of wonder in its world than this game's puzzlefests, which is kinda funny considering that game's "realistic" art style

Of course TP's going to have a greater sense of wonder in its world if it's designed to look more realistic than SS. There's something to be said for an uncluttered, vivid art style making understanding puzzles easier, but it becomes very clear that what you're doing is just that, a puzzle.

Red: Weeaboo Hunter
Weeaboo: The Beast Among Us
The She-Weeb

EDIT: To stick on topic, here's a photo of an American Weeaboo in Kusatsu, Gunma.

Take a look at this page, and replace all the instances of "werewolf" with "weeaboo." This is what crossed my mind just now, or more specifically, "I Was a Teenage Weeaboo."

Well, I feel special now. I didn't even consider indoor pools. Maybe it's because I'm an avid beach-goer myself. x_x

Something unique to your experience! I've been to the beaches in Washington state, they're fun if you like to build stuff with sand or fly kites. The water, however, is never agreeable, especially when jellyfish are washing up.

Yes, I live in Japan, but it doesn't make much of a difference where you live so long as there are indoor pools available. But this isn't the first time I've been given confused looks about this... Honestly, there were two indoor pools within walking distance of my house in Washington state; I don't get why everyone imagines pools to be outdoors.

EDIT: Ah. All I said was I "went swimming." I suppose connecting "swimming" to "indoor pools" is something more unique to my experience.

My Valentine's Day went swimmingly, as did the day after when I went swimming.

I just saw the clip; Mario moves at a 45 degree angle and the frame rate is about 15 fps. Pretty sure one of the interns is just playing with sprites.

I haven't seen the video yet, but considering most of The Daily Show's visual gags are photoshops, isn't it easy to conceive that this is just video editing?

Hey, I had a stint as an J->E translator before I came to Japan, and let me tell you, the more you do it, the less you want to do it.
