Author Topic: All newbs come here!  (Read 2223 times)

« on: January 09, 2004, 06:53:24 PM »
Ok, I've called you here to tell you all the thread ideas not to make. Most of the time, you will all make topics about "Your favorite Mario game" or something else similar to that. Now don't make

Favorite Mario game
Favorite Mario Music
Mario story (been done)

Well, I can't really think of any ohters, but hopefully all the regulars will come up with stuff to backup my point.

Who are you to predict and judge newbies right away because they are newbies? Not all newbies are the same, you know.
Deezer was here.

Don't start up anything that has been already done, and is high up in the list. My TMK Animal Crossing Center only came to be because a previous trading post had vanished. Basically, if you're not sure about posting something, don't do it!

Also, continuing from Killa of PS2's point ... don't make topics like 'Hair colour?' or 'Where do you live?', 'cos you can easily ask them on MSN or something like that. I'll just tell you some, anyway -

I believe that we had a Japanese member some time ago. YoshiZu comes from Germany, Pink King Boo comes from Austrailia, and pretty much everyone else comess from America. I, myself, come from England.

But let's not begin to turn this topic into one of THOSE! Continue with the real point. :)

Also, make sure your threads will actually serve a purpose. Don't simply make a thread saying something like "Mario is so cool! I love his games, etc...!"  Make sure it actually makes way for a discussion. If you're going to state a bland, dry statement, at least put a question afterwards.

Full concurence on my end. You win the second installment of the "Jesse Jackson Award for excellence in the field of Hypocrisy!"

(picture coming eventually)

The forum newbies can't POSSIBLY know what not to post beforehand... so stop this now. Meowrik, your signature offends me. Insinuating that all new members are dumb is stereotyping and hypocritical, for you were once new.

Appaling.

"Boy, if I had a nickel for every 'Newbie Thread' created..."

Boy, if I had a nickel for every time this forum has seen a stupid thread made by some person over a six month period...

Yes, Meowrik, the sig is bad. You were once a newbie. It reminds me of watching Matilda:

"Rotten, nasty, ****worm children! [it's a worm; no editing needed] Glad I was never one." ~Mean, old principal from Matilda. (forgot her name)

When new people get here, nobody should make them choose sides like some bad comments made about MoonEye, Sadib (still, my gosh), and Killa.

ABSOLUTELY NOTHING is wrong with those three although people still continue to beat them within an inch of their life.

Get a life and stop being hypocrites, folks.

Stop living in the past you cretins. My signature is changed and I've stopped bashing the newbies under Deezer's will. now let's end this with a quote from my math teacher last year...

"Get over it!"- Mr. O'Neil
