Hooray! 100,002th post!

Deezer's post was in fact the 100,000th with the edit of it being the 100,001th. If you want to see a screenshot of the glorious event, I have the low quality .jpg here and the high quality .bmp here.
You might say that a website's success can be judged by the quality of it's forum. 100,000 posts is saying something, and the community quality does too. Who needs fancy avatars, giant banner sigs, and eight thousand active members? I found good fun and good friends the way it was. Congratulations to Deezer for starting the whole adventure and everyone else who made a post along the way. Here's looking out for 1,000,000.

Interesting to see that I have 100,000 times the posts of the average member. How appropriate on this day.

100,000 posts? Yay, I was about 1/50 responsible for it!

But look at this. The reply id up on the post above mine says about 368,000. TMK has 100,000 of those. This means that TMK alone has 1/3 to 1/4 the posts of the combined total from every forum ever made on the Gamespy ASPForums.

I don't mean to be a killjoy, but in all this excited talk of numbers and statistics, Lizard Dude said "100,001th" and "100,002th." That just strikes me as funny. ;)

Congratulations, everyone! This place rocks, and the people here—the ones who actually created all these big numbers—are the reason why it does.

Who do you suppose will be the first member to reach 10,000 posts? :P

Zip-a-dee-doo-dah, zip-a-dee-ay, Yay for the Fungi Forums!  I wish there was more I could say, but I guess there isn't.  Hey, I'm the highest percentage in the 2. category!

True, but haven't most sites stopped using ASPForums?

Yes, many have, MEGAߥTE, but there are still some active boards out there. Or there were last time I checked, at least. At any rate, to my knowledge no other of those boards ever flourished like or as much as this one has. And even boards on modern systems, with all their fancy features like telling you how many members aren't around, don't have the kind of intelligent posts and camaraderie of which this place can boast. All that those message boards generally have is a bunch of large images that take up a lot of space and give the illusion of content where there is actually little besides an ignorant but horrid misuse of the English language.

Ah yes.  Deezer's grand dream has come true; TMK has reached over 100,000 posts!  Congratulations on this remarkable feat, and to all who made it happen.  I have only a very small minority of the posts, but I am very joyful to have helped this forum's success along.

I''ve found that if you have a goal, you might not make it.  But if you don''t have one, you''re never disappointed.  Let me tell you, it feels phenomenal!

 Very nice. Well done, TMK.

I lost count long ago, but I'm not real surprised by the results. Keep it up, everyone.

Wow. This is the first time where the 100,000th [anything] I've seen hasn't been totally moronic...

Well done, FF. And here's to (hopefully) several hundred thousand more.

I was a bit worried. I tried logging onto TMK about 5 minutes ago, and the Classic Gaming homepage read, simply, "do you yahoo?" -- I thought the site was hacked. I was very close to sending Deezer an E-mail about it.

I feel obliged to say something as one of the top 30 posters.

Umm, add 210 of Lt Mou's points to my total. He was me. It wasn't a name change like Birdo -> Popple. We are still counted as two separate entities.

Oh, and yay for 100,000 posts. I'm surprised marioguy didn't make the list.

Yay, 100,000 Posts at the Fungi Forums.

I'm glad I joined, but I didn't like the fact that I had to leave for awhile while all the great action was happening here. Good thing I came back.

I just made an attempt to actually count the number of posts in MB's post, but the low resolution made it too hard.

I believe there are 50 posts per bundle and about 21.3 bundles per image and 100 images, so there are about 106,500 posts.

The post full of an indeterminable number of posts. Ingenious.

I think the funniest part of this thread was the "trouble" Deezer took to determine what percent of the board's posts were posted by each member. Of course, I, being a mathematician, would notice this.

Yes.  Moving a decimal is a lot of trouble.

Did you know that many other countries use a comma where we use a decimal and a decimal where we use commas.

For example:
US 1,000,000.00
EU 1.000.000,00 (at least the EU countries I have had exchange students from)

Also the term decimal comes from the root deci meaning ten.  It's no coincedence that most of us have ten fingers.  If we were in "The Simpsons" universe thinks would be different.  Hmmm.  How many fingers does Mario have?

Yes.  He appears to have ten finger in all the picture I just check, but I thought I saw a picture of him with only eight once.  I probably wrong.  Anyway, I had the funny feeling after making my previous post that I had made it before.

On another note, I just read that the reason people talk to themselve (reason through things, not multiple personalities) is that the parts of our brain are not well connected so talk to ourselve help use deal with problem in a faster and more effecient way.

Edit: An "s" can make a big difference sometimes.
