Glorb, I know there was a topic about that somewhere but I can't find it right now.  But as for me *waits for everyone to stop groaning* I got my name because I think Yoshi is really cool, I love to play as Yoshi in every single multi-player Mario game, and like T-Rex's (correct English?).  But it's kinda funny because I like big dinosaurs but not violence.  I guess I'm just not used to it right now.

And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.

"That's 'cause you probably have a MegaSuperUltra Pentium-Athlon 486 IV processor with a 800GB hard drive or whatever."

Not even close. I don't even have a Pentium processor.

The only thing I recognized out of the past few posts was that GB stood for GigaBytes, which I'm guessing are bigger than megabytes.

A gigabyte is 1024 megabytes.

Watoad's picture loaded fast for me.

All that stuff is from Zero Wing. Everything. None of that is from "Last Alert".

Actually, a GB is 1,073,741,824 bytes, not simply 1,000,000,000 like most people say. They're off by 73,742,824 bytes. So now we talk about computer byte measurement. Or...tomato sauce!

Speaking of strange measurements, why are bytes, megabytes, etc., unlike the Metric system?

Because a byte is made up of 8 bits and not 10.

So a Gigabyte is 8,589,934,592 bits. Divide that by 7, add 14, and you get about 15.22713351314285 bits, which, multiplied by Pi (3.1416) is 47.83756264488957756. Which has no significance whatsoever.
