Really? Well, I just saw the press release on GoNintendo a little bit ago, so I suppose...

Not gonna get it, but I definitely appreciated the TV advertisement.

Much better than the MKW commercial.

Heck, I was just glad to see something besides "Wii Would Like to Play". Seriously, advertising makes a big difference. The WWLtP ads made me feel nervous about games I knew I'd get (Super Mario Galaxy). This ad made me almost interested in a game I'm still not going to buy. I mean this all in a totally good way.

Seriously, advertising makes a big difference.

This is one reason why Sega Saturn failed.

Wii Would Like to Play was one of the coolest things ever.
That was a joke.

Has anybody played the game yet? Is it better than the GC version?? Is Toad a captain yet?
Kinopio is the ultimate video game character! Who else can drive a kart, host parties, play tennis, give good advice and items, and is almost always happy??

Toad is what Toad always is: Recolorable Team Filler.
No! I don't want that!

Blast! I don't get why friggin' Bowser Jr gets to be a captain before Toad.. Toad was in the series before Jr was!!

Jr anger aside, is this game better than the GC version?

Is Super Mario Galaxy better than Super Mario Sunshine?
Is Super Smash Bros. Brawl better than Super Smash Bros. Melee?
Is Animal Crossing City Folk better than Animal Crossing?
Is Metroid Prime 3 better than Metroid Prime?
Is Mario Kart Wii better than Mario Kart Double Dash?

You know I could go on with this.

-Ooh, a cookie!
-Sombrero time!
-Meep.
-All my base are belong to me.
-Rawr!

What I'm saying with this is that other Wii games that are better/worse than their GC counterparts don't necessarily have anything to do with the quality of different games...

Anyway...

My brother might end up getting the game since he played the original way more than I did; heck, I didn't even really play it. I'm not really fond of the Mario sports games in the first place, so I probably won't play the game much.

In case you're wondering what game I'm talking about due to the off-topicness of this thread, it's Mario Super Sluggers.
We went to see them for the first time in 5 years because they were going away for 3 years.

I herd its mostly the same game with some added stuff to it, like every other game Nintendo has been releasing latly.

Time is repeating itself. Why you say? Look at the Wii and NES and you'll know why.

I'm actually more interested in this game than with Mario Superstar Baseball. The original's awkward controls were a big turn-off.

A to bat, B to bunt, etc. It couldn't be more simplier.

Nintendo will take that as a challenge.

In batting, the fact that the character doesn't actually swing until after you press the button (and sliding the batter around to adjust where it will hit made it feel tedious) kept throwing me off.
In fielding, most of the time I couldn't figure out who I was throwing to or if the game was doing it for me.

I actually found Sluggers to be alot better than the GC one.  I like the controls much better and the challenge mode is actually fun.  Plus, there are more features to play with and more characters to use.  Overall, Mario Super Sluggers didn't add too much, but improves alot on the gameplay.
Victory... is my destiny!
