The argument "with that logic..." doesn't make sense to me. However, Final Fantasy VII is most certainly not the best Final Fantasy even though it used some groundbreaking cinematics at the time. It was probably the best RPG out on PS1 at the time, though.
Anyway, most games being made today are nowhere near the best. Just because I missed my opportunity to think Wario Land was good doesn't mean you can't think it's good. I just don't have fun with them or their controls.
