Title: MIDI2NES Program
Post by: coolkid on November 25, 2009, 10:29:06 PM
I'm looking for that one program that lots of people use to convert MIDI files to make them sound like songs from an NES game. You may have seen many examples of conversions on YouTube, and I think that what be pretty cool. Anyone have a download of the program? If so, upload the installer/program in a post. Thanks.
And don't say MIDINES, because that's hardware and relatively expensive.

MIDI files sound worse than NES in the first place.

Is midimml (http://www.cs.cmu.edu/~tom7/midimml/) what you're looking for?

Well, I've already found something that's basic and doesn't really require any tech smarts.
It's called GXSCC. The only thing I don't like is that the snare sounds kinda odd and pretty much the whole drumset is problematic as all hell.
