Title: What I learned through Mario
Post by: Tv_Themes on May 08, 2009, 10:19:42 PM
1) If it's not human, it's your enemy and it will kill you upon contact (this includes Pianta's, Noki's and robots)
2) Flowers change your clothes color.
3) Fire works under water.
4) To be a son, you need to look like a midget clone of your dad.
5) To make peace with your human mortal enemy that wants nothing to do with a princess, give him a factory.
6) Mushrooms make you grow taller
7) Stars make you flash
8) You can breathe under water.
9) If you don't think you're Italian enough, take some LSD
10) Raccoons can fly

Why does this remind me of a stupid t-shirt 13-year-olds wear to look like "l337 G4m3rs"?

Wasn't there a section on the main site about this?

8) You can breathe under water.

You haven't played any of the 3D Mario games, have you?

Actually, in Super Mario Galaxy you can breathe in vacuum but not underwater, but in Super Paper Mario they make the point that it's the other way 'round.

Super Paper Mario is supposed to be a paper version of Super Mario (Bros.). So you can breathe underwater. But in space that doesn't make sense since if you can breathe underwater and you don't have gills you can breathe anywhere.

I think paper would actually survive better in outer space than in water. And this is to say nothing of Mario's flagrant disregard for oxygen in SMG.

11)  you can cross lava if you have a turtle shell.
12)  All your wounds will heal if you jump in water and stay on the surface.
13)  you can fly with a cap that has tiny wings on it.
14)  If you jump randomly in the air, you might find a floating treasure chest.
15)  You can defeat a ghost by punching it's back or with hammers.
16)  Go karts don't need fuel or any kind of maintenance.
17)  If you eat green watermelons whole, then you can spit out the seeds like a machine gun.
18)  If the melon is red, then you can breath fire.
19)  If its blue, then you can spit mist of ice.
20)  If you step on a round, blue space, 3 coins will appear, sometimes 6.

Until Mario gets a Leland Chee, or at least an Archie series, Mario canon is whatever you want it to be.
