Video Game Chat / Re: DUUDE!!! SSB TOURNAMENTS MAY BE REAL!!
« on: June 11, 2000, 03:10:36 PM »
Finally someone who wants to have a SSB tounament as much as I do.  Anything you guys need to get the ball rolling for National tournaments, I'll see what I can do. Just e-mail me at happysnorlax@hotmail.com
I have tried to get one of these in my town but they told that there weren't enough people interested to hold one.  So I guess that means that we will have to recruit people from across the nation.  The more names demanding one, the more likely it is that there will be one.

I didn't mean to offend anybody, I was only curious.  I was hoping I would get a little more of a friendly response than this from a site devoted to video games, but if everyone is that upset with me and Deezer decides to take this topic off, I won't be angery with anyone.  After all I am HappySnorlax :)

Thanks to all for being able to see it from my percpective, but the important thing to keep in mind is that Mario is still an excellent video game character (good or bad).

First of all I would like to thank you all for your responses, and I would also like to appologize for the delay of my reply.  I was on vacation, but now that I am back am will be able to respond almost everyday.

In response to anyone who has contacts at ninendo, I am sure everyone here as well as myself would greatly appreciate it if you would tell your contacts about what we are disscusing.

Again thanks for the feed back!!

Hey! What about the characters that were in Smash Bros. but not accessible.  Like Metal Mario, Giant DK, and "The Hand"
Also what if instead of just different colors if there than one of the same character, you could pick the "polygon" form of that character?

In response to totalphat. Aside from Stupid Puff and Pika-jerk Why do you wish to get rid of such legendary and popular characters and replace (replace being the key word) them with less popular (and in Diddy's case) more anoying characters?

In response to Mikle.  There is no shame in having almost a half dozen favorites, because there all good songs.
To everyone, thank you for your feedback!!

Personaly I like the Mario rap, and the Orchestra version of the Mario theme.  Both can be heard on the WTMK radio.

**NOTE** None of this is meant to insult anyone. Including Plumbers, Italians, or Mario.  It is just a hypothetical situation made up by two people who had nothing better to do at 4:00am, and should not be taken seriously!!

I haven't lived a very long time, but one thing I have learned in my youth is that plumbers aren't exactly the most punctual kind of people. So, my friends and I have a theory about the length of some Mario's games.  Here is the possible way Super Mario Bros. went.

Bowser kidnaps the Princess.  Princess cries to Mario for help.  Mario acknowleges her cries, but just sit around on his fat plumber butt, finishes his pasta, takes a quick nap, wakes up, knocks off the crusty tomato sauce that had tried on his face as he slept, and then finally looks at his clock and heads out to save her.
Now, during all of this Bowser reached his first castle, and waited a little bit, but then when Mario never showed up he went to the next castle and then the next until finally he was home eight worlds away.
Once finally reaches the first castle and defeats the fake Bowser, the mushroom person that was being held is a little upset since Mario has taken so long, and directs him in the right direction.
We all know how turns out, but maybe that explains why Bowser seems to be so many steps ahead of Mario (until Mario finally reaches and the stomps the crud out of him)

So, if you agree or have any other explanations, I would be very happy to read them.  :)

Mario Chat / Who is your favorite Pokemon?
« on: June 11, 2000, 02:34:11 AM »
If it is not already obvious, my favorite Pokemon is "King of Lazy," Snorlax (no. 143). He just my style.  Fat, Lazy, and wouldn't have it any other way!
But who is your favorite Pokemon? And Why?

Again, I will appreciate any feed back!

*(I oppologize for my mean comments toward stupid-puff and pika-jerk)

The first Smash Bros. had very colorful, enjoyabe and inventive backgrounds, but I think they could expand on what they have. An idea I have is Bowser's Castle.

Any other suggestions?
