**NOTE** None of this is meant to insult anyone. Including Plumbers, Italians, or Mario.  It is just a hypothetical situation made up by two people who had nothing better to do at 4:00am, and should not be taken seriously!!

I haven't lived a very long time, but one thing I have learned in my youth is that plumbers aren't exactly the most punctual kind of people. So, my friends and I have a theory about the length of some Mario's games.  Here is the possible way Super Mario Bros. went.

Bowser kidnaps the Princess.  Princess cries to Mario for help.  Mario acknowleges her cries, but just sit around on his fat plumber butt, finishes his pasta, takes a quick nap, wakes up, knocks off the crusty tomato sauce that had tried on his face as he slept, and then finally looks at his clock and heads out to save her.
Now, during all of this Bowser reached his first castle, and waited a little bit, but then when Mario never showed up he went to the next castle and then the next until finally he was home eight worlds away.
Once finally reaches the first castle and defeats the fake Bowser, the mushroom person that was being held is a little upset since Mario has taken so long, and directs him in the right direction.
We all know how turns out, but maybe that explains why Bowser seems to be so many steps ahead of Mario (until Mario finally reaches and the stomps the crud out of him)

So, if you agree or have any other explanations, I would be very happy to read them.  :)

Mario Chat / Who is your favorite Pokemon?
« on: June 11, 2000, 02:34:11 AM »
If it is not already obvious, my favorite Pokemon is "King of Lazy," Snorlax (no. 143). He just my style.  Fat, Lazy, and wouldn't have it any other way!
But who is your favorite Pokemon? And Why?

Again, I will appreciate any feed back!

*(I oppologize for my mean comments toward stupid-puff and pika-jerk)

The first Smash Bros. had very colorful, enjoyabe and inventive backgrounds, but I think they could expand on what they have. An idea I have is Bowser's Castle.

Any other suggestions?

Mario Chat / If Smash Bros. had a sequel, who should be in it?
« on: June 04, 2000, 04:31:13 PM »
As I have stated before, Smash Bros. is most certainly one of the best games ever, and I think it would be stupid not to give such a well made game a sequel.  But sometimes sequels can hurt a game.  An example of this is when Koopa Troopa was taken out of Mario Kart and replaced with Wario in Mario Kart 64.  Some friends of mine feel that no one should have been taken out, they should have just added Wario.
To get to the point, if a sequel is created for Smash Bros. which characters stay and which characters should go?
Personally I wouldn't lose any sleep if Jiggly Puff and Captain Falcon were removed.
The reason for Jiggly Puff is that I don't like it's character, and there are plenty of better, more fun, and more interesting Pokemon they could have put in instead.
The reason for Falcon, is that I don't really think of him as a real character.  To me the vehicle he drives is more of a character than he is.
As for characters I would like to see be put in the sequel.  Bowser, Wario, Koopa Troopa, Mac (from the "Punch-Out" series), and maybe even Bionic Commando.

Also, what about the controls? Keep them the same, make them configurative, or make one, unchangable set of controls?

Again, any feed back will be appreciated!!

Video Game Chat / Is anyone else sick of all of these new characters?
« on: June 04, 2000, 04:14:59 PM »
Nintendo has had a long prosperous history in the video game business.  They produce fun games and interesting characters, but it seems that lately they have started a bad habit.  They produce to many new characters and giving them games, when they could be spending time making good games for the characters they already have. An example of this is Diddy Kong Racing. I've never played it, and it probably was a fun game, but like my good friend Turtle Tek says, "That should have been the sequel to Mario Kart 64."  This makes sense. They had to have spent a lot of time making up these characters and giving them histories, while they could have just as easily made another excellent racing game with the already existing Mario characters.

I would greatly appreciate any and all feed back.

Mario Chat / Smash Bros. Tournaments
« on: June 03, 2000, 08:31:34 PM »
I don't know about anyone else, but i think that Super Smash Bros. is one of the best games ever. I have over 100 hours as kirby. All my friends (skilled or not) love playing it. It can get very competitive, but still remains enjoyable. That is why I think Smash Bros. tounaments should be held at malls or video stores. I tried to start one in my town, but it isn't looking good. I would appreciate any feed back.

Mario Chat / Could Mario be a bad guy?
« on: June 03, 2000, 08:27:20 PM »
Could Mario be a bad guy? I know you are confused as to how I came to that conclusion, but here me out.
1) We have only seen the story of Mario     vs. Bowser through Mario's perception
2)Who's to say that the Mushroom Kingdom wasn't Bowser's to begin with?
3)Everyone says that bowser is evil, but why doesn't he ever kill anything? He didn't kill any of the inhabitants of the Mushroom Kingdom, he aloud them to live in stone form, and put the yoshis in eggs, but Mario will squash his enemies without thinking twice.
4)It's undeniable how cruel Mario is to Yoshi.  He in Super Mario World (SNES) he punches Yoshi in the back of the and forces him to eat enemies and fruit that hasn't been washed.
5)Mario is constantly taking other people's coins without asking

These are just a few points to get the ball rolling.

I would appreciate any feed back!
