Nintendo released worldwide software sales numbers yesterday, highlighting the top-selling games from the Wii U, Wii, Nintendo 3DS, and Nintendo DS. Unsurprisingly, nearly half of the games listed contain at least one Mario brother. Boosted by Wii console bundles, Mario Kart Wii takes first place with 34.26 million units sold and holds a comfortable lead over New Super Mario Bros. for DS (30.38 million sold). From March 20 through March 31, Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon sold a respectable 1.22 million units and jumped ahead of Mario Tennis Open, which has sold 1.11 million copies since May of 2012. New Super Mario Bros. U and Paper Mario: Sticker Star both launched in November and have sold about 2 million copies each.
