Why does everyone hate Toad? He's cool. We should get rid of that Waluigi freak, but since he's not really out yet, I guess I can't say him, so I'd have to pick Donkey Kong. Big time, Donkey Kong!!! He has nothing to do with the whole series anymore, and is only there to fill in the space of another character for those board game type games, and other things. Besides, what the heck does he have to do with the Mushroom Kingdom? Nothing! I guess that Waluigi is supposed to be replacing him, but I don't know if he's any better.

Just keep all the original Mario characters and kill all the dorky new ones (Waluigi, Kammy Koopa from Paper Mario, etc...) I would definitely want to kill all of Mario's party members from Paper Mario cuz they're all dumb and they all betrayed Bowser and joined the good guys... I mean why would a Goomba or a Koopa Troopa join Mario? They're all the original enemies from Super Mario Bros., and they're wicked as bad guys; they just suck as good guys... The same with Bowser being good in Mario RPG!

Hahaha, I got bored and set the "Show topic" to 365 days, and then I found this little gem.I'm reviving it! HAHAHAHA! Maybe some of you newer members would like to comment? (This thread is before my time, heh. I joined in March '02.)
In refrence to the question: I'd like to propose a "Roulette Wheel of killing of Mario characters". These are all the characters, that, at one time or another in the last month or so, I thought were most deserving to die. HA!
1. Mario. He abuses Yoshi, He steals all the fame from everyone, and... well, everyone likes him even though he's nothing really special in my opinion. Go Luigi!!
2. Peach: Soo..... ANNOYING.... Argh! If I have to hear her in MK64 ONE MORE time, I swear I'm going to chuck the controller at the TV! And what is with this MARIOHALPME!!!! Business? I hate her.
3. Toad. Don't ask me here. He's kinda annoying at times. And I hate the way his engine sounds in MK64. Or his voice for that matter.
4. Green Yoshi (And ONLY Green Yoshi). Ok, he can't DO ANYTHING special (Blue Yoshi flies. Yellow Yoshi pounds dust. Red Yoshi spits fire.) in SMW. And yet he's the most "popular" color! What's wrong here? He hogs all the levels in SMA3 (19. The poor Dark Blue Yoshi only gets 5. All the other colors only get 6, less than 1/3 of 19.) And what about the TRULY neglected colors? Black? White? Orange? They're all 1,000,000,000 times better then Green Yoshi in my opinon. He's really getting old.
5. The really long pit in 8-2 of SMB1. Ok, so it isn't a character? SO? I still hate it.
6. 5-9 of SMB3: What a freaking waste of level. It isn't a character either? SO?
7. That little kid from SMRPG (Gaz I think): Another annoying character. Somewhat arrogant. I think he may have ADHD.
8. The third guard door from Paper Mario: "Impossible Test". Riiiiight. Arrogance again. I missed 0.
9. Baby Mario: ANNOYING! ARRRRRRRRRGH!! Of course, I think he should be duct taped to Green Yoshi's back. That would be funny.
10. Destiny's Child: Oh wait, this isn't a Mario character. WHO CARES???????
11. Frogfucious: Ok, I don't really hate him. But don't you think it would be kind of funny to see someone shooting him down saying something along the lines of: "Ha! You aren't so smart now, are you? ARE YOU?!?!?!?" Ok, that was dumb.
12. Any enemy in SMRPG that uses Sand Storm: So very, very cheap.
Ok, that's 12. There are plenty more, too! Ah well.
Let's give the old wheel a spin and see what comes up, eh?
(PS: I am currently going with #2 right now. Or #10, but that isn't a Mario character.)
PPS: I typed this at MIDNIGHT. I am tired. I make irrational comments when I am tired, so dont tkae this TOO seriously.

1. Steve, you spelled Frogfucius wrong.
2. "MARIOHALPME" was written by the people at Square who had no better dialog to write. If you'd played SMS, and seen where Mario rescues Peach, you'd like her a lot better.

Oh, and the character I'd pick would be Hawkmouth, because he's annoying and you're supposed to kill him anyway.

What's with this topic?? If you killed Princess Peach, Toad, and Daisy, Mario has no one to save. Mario would be out of a occupation, and Bowser takes over The Mushroom Kingdom, and rule it forever. Nintendo could never make another Mario adventure game if you killed those characters. Oh and Ultra Luigi, The Princess does more stuff than being kidnapped in case you haven't realized that in the past 10 YEARS!!

Also, Peach doesn't even TALK in all but 5 games. (I think. There may be more, but I think there's 5. And that means dialogue, not just speech samples.) How would you even know what she was saying?
Oh, and there are some songs you just CAN'T get tired of...
Oh yeah, Pink King Boo, SML didn't come out before SMB. They just changed it to a superball instead of a fireball for thatgame, probably because they couldn't program a fireball properly.

If I HAD to kill someone.. it would have to be...the shadow mario from sms. I think bowser has far too many kids that only appear in one or two games. By the way, I never did figure out the deal with him and peach. I somehow highly doubt that she's really his mother.
The world would be a much cleaner place if people would eat their own trash.

----I: Am I really a Mario fan?----
I am a Mario GAME fan. Does that mean that I have to like all the characters in these games? Nope. So what if I hate a few of the major characters? I don't have to like Mario to like Mario games. I mean, seriously, must you like the major good character in a series a lot to like the series? I like Luigi. Why doesn't he have more games? He deserves them.
I get all kinds of enjoyment from games that have Mario in them. In fact, 4 of my 5 favorite video games of all time have Mario or a major Mario character as a major role in them. And I tend to obsess about these games. So yes, I am a Mario game fan.
But am I a MARIO fan? Well, if your definition of that is that I have to like Mario, I guess not. All depends on whether you mean Mario (The character) fan or Mario (The games) fan.
----II: Why I hate Mario----
Ok, imagine this. Someone who does everything just as good as you, and no better, comes along and gains the respect of other and a HUGE following, whereas you are constantly neglected. And then you must put up with this crap every day. This MUST be how Luigi feels. I mean, he is just as good, if not better, than Mario is, and yet Mario gets all the fame just because he is Player 1 in SMB1. I bet if Luigi were Player 1, He'd be the famous one, and I'd hate Luigi and like Mario.
Generally, I dislike it when people get things they don't earn. Respect is a huge one of these "things". Mario gets all kinds of respect, Luigi gets hardly any. Most people don't call the earlier SMB games "Luigi" Games...
And he is even more neglected now. He isn't in SM64, nor does he even play a horribly good role in PM or any other major Mario game. (Don't ask me about SMS). Ok, and there's Luigi's Mansion. 1 Luigi game. As opposed to all kinds of games Mario is in alone. I think that was a pity game, personally.
Mario stands for anything in the real world that gains more respect than it deserves. See part V for a better explanation.
----III: Why I hate Green Yoshi----
Ok, let me begin by saying that I don't really hate the CHARACTER of Green Yoshi, or the race of Yoshies themselves. Actually, a lot about what is said in Part II applies here.
Green Yoshi's case is actually worse than Mario's. The only reason for his popularity is because he is the first color Yoshi you encounter in SMW. Green Yoshi is quite literally INFERIOR to a lot of Yoshies he is more popular than. Case in point:
Let me start with Blue Yoshi. The 2nd most popular color from what I can tell. Unlike Green Yoshi, he DESERVES this popularity. He can Fly with any color shell in SMW. That is really, really useful. There's a reason everyone wants to get the Blue Yoshi in SMW: HE'S BETTER THAN GREEN YOSHI. Being better, he should be more popular. But, nope.
Now, all the other colors.
Yellow: He pounds dust with any shell. This makes him better than Green Yoshi, ability wise. but, he is neglected, overshadowed by Blue Yoshi, and overpopularized by Green Yoshi. I almost feel sorry for him. He actually is made fun of because he is Yellow, a light color, considered weak for some reason. Don't ask me why.
Red: Again, he breathes fire with any color shell. Again, he is better than Green Yoshi. Again, he is overshadowed by Blue Yoshi's ability and Green Yoshi's popularity. At least no one makes fun of what color he is.
Black and White Yoshi: If any of you have played YS, you'll KNOW that these 2 colors are the BEST Yoshies. They can eat things the other colors cannot, they can DO things the other colors cannot, plus you score higher with them. They are quite a bit better than Green Yoshi. Yet, they are only in 1 game so far, and not a paticularly good one at that.
Orange Yoshi: The last color Yoshi to finally get a game. Need I say more?
And there are all kinds of Yoshies I didn't add. Essentially because they really don't have special abilities, and are equal to Green Yoshi, but less popular.
Green Yoshi represents undeserving popularity. I hate this trait. Hate, hate, hate, hate, HATE it.
----IV: Why I hate all the other characters I have listed----
These characters genuinely have annoyed me in one way or another. Peach? I hate her. She's annoying, constantly BEGS to be saved, leaves herself open, and screams for Mario (Not Luigi) in a high-pitched obnoxious voice, thus adding to HIS popularity.
Everyone else merely annoys me in at least one way. This post is already long enough, and thus I'll end it there. I really don't want to list all of the characters I have listed.
----V: How this pertains to the real world----
Ok, now you know my motives for hating these characters, and what I think they represent. Now, you'll see why I hate these qualities. If you haven't seen already from viewing the boards, I have excellent scholastic abilities, and tend to be a perfectionist. I also am misunderstood by my classmates, and am thus not respected or liked due to it.
Wait a minute, doesn't this seem A LOT like the characters above? I do good, other, "lower" people ability wise get the popularity? I am sick of this crap. If I were a Mario character, based on my role in real life, I'd probably be Black or White Yoshi (Heh, read the Yoshi color quiz post). Good at things, and neglected and made to look "Inferior to inferiors".
I am fed up with all the flack I put up with. I am fed up with looking bad despite being able to outdo others in a lot of things. This shoudl remind you of the other "neglected" characters I have listed... in at least 1 way.
----VI: An explanation to my views----
I share these views with you because I think I must be heard on these forums. As radical as they are, I deem them viable for consideration. I do not wish to have my veracity questioned.
The Green Yoshi picture is a good one. In case you are wondering why everyone is so offended by it, look at it. Well, maybe not. I'll just say it was a picture of a Green Yoshi with one arm ripped off and lying in a pool of blood, and a spear driven through its eyes. It's a parody of the Personality test things, plus it also has a different explanation of the Green Yoshi (Similar to what you read in Part III).
But why? Why did I have to revolt and frighten you all with such a morbid thought? It is a representation of my frustration of my views of the real world. Come on! Green Yoshi is a PERFECT example of popularity without reason.
IT IS ART.
Art? How? It's sickening! Well, let me define art in my own way.
Art is anything you use to express an emotion.
Does it express an emotion? YES! My feelings of anger towards popularity without reason! Green Yoshi is merely a smybol of this. A SYMBOL. If I were to magically appear in Marioland and see a Green Yoshi, would I gouge its eyes out and chop off its arms? NO! It's a SYMBOL. Get that through your heads.
----VII: My actions on this forum, and why they are justifiable----
To start, with that picture, I gave appropriate warning as to the content of it.
On this forum, I give my views on topics as they are stated. They don't HAVE to be happy, "Everything is AWESOME!!!" views! They can be NEGATIVE!!! I have all rights to say negative things about other things. First Amendment of the U.S. Constitution. Free Speech.
Whenever I am about to say something controversial or possibly offensive, I'll warn you first (Most of the time). The picture, I had a warning. When I insult, or give a tyrade, I'll warn you if you don't wish to read it. You don't HAVE to read what I say. It's your choice.
I am an eternal pessimist. I think everything will go wrong if given the chance. I tend to give negative views of things, too.
I may have one or more mental disorders, and I say most things late at night (Including this post) and I lose inhibitions when I am tired. I say things I don't mean fully, or things that aren't intelligent.

----VIII: Why you should care----
You should care because I have that personality that blows up at everyone. Sorry, but I wish for you to RESPECT my opinions, not matter how wrong you think they are. Thus my signature.
I wish for you all to understand me. I am NOT a very understandable person. Trust me. I want to be accepted. Not have my ideas and views thrown out due to the fact that they differ from the status quo.
I don't want to have to leave due to a lack of respect. I likely won't either.

A: I hate Mario and Green Yoshi due to what they represent, not because of who they are.
B: This characteristic is their popularity without a really good reason.

No offense taken. You earned a good deal of respect from me by reading that entire long post (I mean, it would be easy to say "It's long. Why should I read it?") and acknowledging that.
About those words... Errrr, here's a list of some words you might not have known... (If you DO know these, I apologize.)

To the one who looks into too many things, Mario does a lot of work. he deserves what he gets. also, luigi doesn't go on many adventures with mario because he doesn't want to. mario is naturally more adventurous than luigi.
And yoshi is from yoshi's island. all the yoshi's from there, have no special powers. only the ones from star road, have special abilities.
The world would be a much cleaner place if people would eat their own trash.

Well, yes... I guess he DOES do a lot of work. Let's give credit to others where it is due here though. I mean, Mario gets ALL the credit. Let's not forget all those that helped him in his adventures, now.

Once again, I'd agree. But... didn't Luigi START just as adventurous as Mario? Then, they messed with the character. Made him less daring. And you know what? Luigi didn't deserve it. Ah well. This equivlant of this in real life is the people that get tormented by their peers to the point where they become really introverted. I can almost say I am one of those. And I'm really perturbed about it, to put it in an appropriate term.

Well, this one is by far the easiest of your points to defend. 2 things.
1: If the Yoshies from the Star Road are special, and have special powers, then that would make them BETTER. they deserve more popularity then they get.
2: If none of the other Yoshies are special, then that would make them EQUAL. But, why does the Green Yoshi, EQUAL to all the others, get so much more popularity?
Still, you bring up some valid points. That gains some respect from me.

I agree with anybody here who thinks peach should get killed (even though i kinda find this topic a bit odd but it's fun anywho) she's virtually useless in many ways and the only times she is usefull is in multiplayer games ex: mario party, mario kart. the list goes on. Hey don't dis yoshi. Without the yost'er there would be no mario. Don't believe me? play yoshi's island. He saved mario from the evil menance and also rescued luigi. Note: i'm new to this board my name is F-15 Yoshi and it's a pleasure to meet you all after havinga rough time at starworld pro boards O_o . If you havent noticed i'm a very serious yoshi fan yoshi is the ultamite race. Sorry got carried away over there O_o; I like this board allready! peoples thoughts actually get respected ;)

So... as for your point of "without Yoshi there'd be no Mario," while this may or may not hold true, (it's impossible to judge exact results of a single change of events) there is of course the idea of heroes not being born for a specific purpose, but rather arising when the need is there. I know that you haven't yet said anything along the lines of "without Yoshi, Bowser would've conquered the Mushroom Kingdom" for that reason, but IF that IS what you're getting at... had Mario not been in the picture, someone else could have appeared to oppose Bowser. It's all in the neccessity.
Anyway, I hope you enjoy it here, F-15 Yoshi.

Looks like I've turned an "idiotic" post into a somewhat provoking one.
Anyways, ... "Play Yoshi's Island". That happens to be my favorite of the Platform Mario games. If you look at some of my posts here... you'll know...
Anyways, let's examine Yoshi's Island. The Green Yoshi, who is EQUAL to the others, gets 13 levels in YI, and 19 in SMA3! None of the other colors gets more than 6! Once again, more levels = more respect. Of course, I bet this was because the Green Yoshi was most popular to begin with. I personally think they should put the neglected colors as the Extra or Secret levels. [sarcasm]Hey, that requires them to make new sprites, It would take too long.[/sarcasm]
And I really don't hate the characters, I hate what they represent! I don't know how many times I've said this!
Peach? Ya, she's annoying. I mean, Yoshi is far better than her in MK64! Without her, who would Mario save though?
On that point.... seeing as how dense Boswer is sometimes, he is almost always successful in kidnapping Peach. What DOES this tell you about Peach? *Rolls eyes*

Dictionary... Na, I remember A LOT of things from earlier grades, vocabulary lists from 6th, 7th, and 8th grades. (Most people just forget the words. A good deal of them, I remember...) I absorb way too many things... Hard to explain. Ah well...

Even though you were being sarcastic, it's incorrect anyway. No matter which Yoshi you're using, it's always the same sprite. It's just a simple matter of color table programming.
And Steve, consider this: There are more green Yoshis than the other colors.
It doesn't matter what you think of Peach, but what Mario thinks of her that counts. Heheh.

Well, I took A LOT of Online IQ tests (You may not think they are accurate, but I've taken about 8 of them) and a couple of ones in books and have scored between 148-153 on ALL of them. The average is probably around 150-151 for me. (Don't worry if you dont score that high... only about 0.1% of all adults will score higher than that.)
And they don't have to change the sprites?? I guess that makes my sarcasm even that much more sarcastic then... *evil grin*
As for commonness, I'd MUCH rather be rare than common.

To start, Yoshi is NOT gay. Trust me. Have you EVER played N64 Mario Golf? Put your cursor on Yoshi on the select a character screen. It CLEARLY says "Straight". See? Not gay.
