Mario Chat / Re: Post your signature!
« on: May 18, 2001, 03:09:22 PM »
Here's something from the Simpsons:

LOU: Hey, look what I got!
WIGGUM: Oh cool, Mini-Pinball! Let me see!
LOU: No, it’s mine!
WIGGUM: It’s mine!
- Lou and Chief Wiggum fighting over a small toy as part of a meal at Krusty Burger, “The Simpsons"

And this below might become my new signature soon:

What is “it”? It’s an it, that’s what it is. It was an it, it always was an it, and it’s always gonna be an it. Or is it?

Now that I think of it, I don't think they would be blue inside. But enough about that.

Here's some more signatures I thought up from nowhere. I have no idea what I was thinking with this first one, and I don't know if it makes sense or not. I don't even know what it means! Maybe you do:

It's easier to understand when you don't know what the heck's going on.

Ok, the rest of these just magically popped up into my head:

All your GameCube are belong to Sony! – Sony, minutes before being mauled by Shigeru Miyamoto and other Nintendo loyalists

What do you get when you cross Madzilla from SMB3 cartoon and the loser of this year’s president election? You get Al Gorezilla!

What’s scarier than Bowser and his Koopa Kids combined? Peach.

New weapon exclusive to Turok Evolution for the GameCube: The Pikachu Annihilator

And finally, something from one of my favorite comedy shows of all time, "Wings:"

JOE: Lowell, can I see you in my office?
LOWELL: I don’t know.
(Lowell enters Joe’s office)
LOWELL: Okay, can you see me?
- Joe and Lowell, “Wings”

Are there any characters you secretly admire, Roy? You see, I already revealed Yoshi, Fara Phoenix, Ruto, and Kooper. Those are four characters I secretly admire.

More New Info:

Slippy and Peppy will make appearances in Star Fox Adventures: Dinosaur Planet, but only to give advice along the way. Oh WHY did Slippy have to be one of them?

Apparently Mario will appear in Luigi's Mansion. A quote from the E3 Nintendo site said that the premise of the game was Luigi searching for his brother in the mansion. So, Mario will probably pop up near the end.

It really looks like they made the back of Yoshi's head flat. As we all know, it's not supposed to be like that. Now those Smash Bros. Melee guys totally goofed on Yoshi's appearance just from that one error. Just great...

On a positive note, E3 is today. Hopefully IGN will have a heart (not) and reveal the new contestants that will appear. Unless all the vintage NES characters are secret characters!
But hey, since Ness made it in as a secret character in the last game, make way for the Cube rendition of Pit! I hope.

Mario Chat / Re: Got any ideas of Super Mario Cubed?

Hey billy chilly, I just pictured that cross between Wario and the Beetlejuice monster thingy. Yes, THAT's a scary end boss.
It's perfect!

The only problem is that we can't seem to convert our ideas into a downloadable and somewhat playable game. Probably because we don't have the programs to make them.

I think the best way for us to envision the next Mario game is to post more details about it, like locations, enemies, bosses, allies, items, mini-games, etc.

Be original with them, since originality is what started the video game industry. It was also Atari's only chance to survive, and they did so with flying colors. Until good ol' Nintendo smashed 'em. But nowadays the Atari originality of games don't seem to pop up as often... indicating another video game market crash in the future.

Mario Chat / Re: Yo...calling all Princess Daisy fans!
« on: May 17, 2001, 10:14:21 PM »
Well, it's nice to see Daisy back in the game, though her N64 appearance was likely made up since the Game Boy only had the technology to make her look like a regular princess.

Apparently Daisy is good enough of a new character to make it into the other games. Hey, maybe she'll make it into SSBM (that is, the GameCube version of Smash Bros.)

But as for pics, I have no idea where you would find them. You're best looking for fan art.

Ok, I'm gonna explode. Sorry, I have to rant about this to someone.

The new Star Fox / Dinosaur Planet hybrid does NOT feature the Star Fox team. Instead, the only Fox reference is having Fox replace the main character. Arwing missions also pop up, but that's not enough to make it a Star Fox game in any way!

Here's the disappointing news I heard from Nintendo on this game:

Star Fox Adventures: Dinosaur Planet picks up the action eight years after Fox McCloud, the best pilot in the Lylat System, defeated Andross. His team has since been disbanded - Falco is pursuing a solo career; Slippy's working in research and development; and Peppy has retreated to the calmer life of mission support. Ultimately it is Fox alone who must address the plight of Dinosaur Planet.

No Peppy? Sniff. No Slippy? Well, that's a plus. No Falco? Big mistake. To top it off, Fox's teammate in the game isn't the least bit Lylat-related. It coulda been Falco, but no! I would have preferred the new Dinosaur Planet characters, like Saber, if that was one of them.

Huh, guess everyone's so scared of the worst thing known to mankind (it could very well be used as torture in the underworld) that they aren't visiting it.

Well, the regular link doesn't seem to be working (or maybe it is, don't know), but there's a few other sites that have it. So search around.

Amazing how one four-minute-long song can bring so much fear to the universe. This is what true power is like.

Yes, whenever I hear Koopa, I always think of Koopa Troopa. I tried to forget about that movie, but I did like that one comment where "Mario" says they are the aliens and "Luigi" says Cool!

I don't know why, but the name Koopa Troopa just has a certain ring to it that I like. Those Japanese really nailed down a catchy name the first time around, didn't they?

And although this is unrelated, anyone remember the old animated Disney movie "Robin Hood?" The one with the animated fox as Robin. Anyway, Sir Hiss is the best animated snake I've ever seen.
Perfect voice, perfect personality, perfect face.

One more thing, Yoshi looks better than ever with the GameCube rendition of him for the new Smash Bros., but I better be seeing things because it looked like the back of his head was completely flat. And Bowser looks, well, different!

Ever hear of the "subtitle" for the Matrix? Here's a scary variation of it:

Hyakugojyuuichi is my personal savior.

Or how about this?:

Hyakugojyuuichi makes the world go flat.

i see someone liked my "Get Smarter" signature. Once we get enough of these (probably after twenty posts or so), we will have to vote for which signature we think is the best. And voting for one of your own signatures is NOT ALLOWED.

Well, this will make your friend (and maybe you somewhat) happy:

The GameCube's main launch game, Luigi's Mansion, stars Luigi and only Luigi. This is the first solo game that he's in, and still no word of Mario appearing in it!

I don't know who else is with me on this, but not having Mario in it would not ruin the game. Heck, I'd buy Luigi Party or Luigi Tennis if there was one.

Try to get this through his head: Even if he hates Mario, have him try out the Mario games. I hate Pokemon, but I enjoy Smash Bros. (beating up Pikachu, no less).

Ok, so I lost my mind back there. So what?

Yes, Fara was from the Star Fox comics. Sad too, because it looked like she would have potential had she been a normal character.

Next, I take back the statement about the shading percentages being gone. I looked up some new movies, and they're still there.

New Additions:

The colors used for logo things like "Game Set" are different. For example, now Game Set has black and red colors (cool!)

Backgrounds are changed for the better. DK Jungle now has a rushing waterfall, and Great Fox now flies over Corneria.

Bad News: The arenas have been slightly edited. For example, DK Jungle looks smaller, doesn't have the rotating middle platform, and now there's a small platform to the bottom right corner that wasn't there before.

But do you think Dino Riki might make it into Smash Bros? If you don't know who he is, he might pop up. After all, they got Ice Climber. So why not?

Here's one I thought up from nowhere. I don't remember the name of the agent from the show Get Smart, but I'll just call him Agent Maxwell. Here goes...

Agent Maxwell, you've failed your mission. Your only choice is to... Get Smarter!

In any case, any Peach clone would scare anybody out of their wits. I'm already scared that Peach is confirmed to be in the GameCube Smash Bros. (NOOO!!!)

But Zelda/Shiek would also be there, so finally there can be a fight between plumber to hero, princess to, uh, princess. How about that, extending on the popular Mario vs. Link fight. FINALLY!

And yes, Bowser will be in this new Smash Bros. as well (OH YEAH!)
