After being around for twenty years, Mario has become pretty well known. At one time, his face was absolutely everywhere. He had four TV series, a movie, and loads of crap like action figures and water squirters. Mario is by far the best. Sonic might come in second because of his speed and attitude. Link and Pikachu may be tied for third. Link shows an epic game of amazing proportions and Pikachu is, well, Pikachu. At the moment, he`s as big as Mario was. Crash doesn`t even compare to the others. I don`t think that Banjo-Kazooie copies Mario. Saying that is like saying that Donkey Kong Country copies Super Mario World.

For Christmas one year, my cousin gave me a SNES that came with Super Mario World and Super Mario Kart. Everbody I knew liked Yoshi, so whenever we played Mario Kart, it was always a race to get Yoshi.

The SNES. Nintendo still had Square and Mario had some of his best games (SMW,YI, SMRPG). It also introduced the DK Country series. I like the N64 for multiplayer because of its 3-D graphics and four controllers. The GBC is second because it`s awesome, but the graphics are a little poor and racing and RPGs are only mediocer (sp.). I`ve never really played the NES except when my cousin had it but I remember little of it.

Stop being so hard on Legend of Zelda. In total, Link has been in about six games, not including Majora`s Mask, Seed of Tree (or whatver), and the Triforce Series. Mario has been in over one hundred games. Everyone says that Pokemon is dumb because it is kiddy, but the game does have depth. Snap was alright. People also hate it because there are so much pointless merchandise for it. But, if you remember, Mario had just as many stuff when he was big. Not big like now, around the time of Super Mario Bros. 3 and Super Mario World, when he was REALLY BIG. He had tons of pointless stuff. And I`m not saying this to be mean to Mario. In fact, I would love to own all of his pointless stuff. Like the water squirter, DK Action Figures, Trash can, Bed Sheets..... Not to say Mario games are too easy, but they are just as easy for a young kid to play as Pokemon is. Maybe easier. But that doesn`t stop me. I still love both games.

I like the Super Mario Bros. Movie. But, that is only because I don`t see it as based on the games. If I saw it as based on the games, it would be the stupidest excuse for a movie ever made. Ever. I did kind of like the game references like:

The name Toad.

Thwomp is the name of one of Koopa`s army headquarters.

Iggy and Spike (although in the movie they were Koopa`s cousins)

The name Big Bertha

If you watch the credits there is
a scene were two Japanese businessmen are talking. They say: We are thinking of making a video game based on your adventures. What would you call it?" The camera turns to show not Mario and Luigi, but Iggy and Spike. Iggy: "Iggy`s World"
Spike:"The unstoppable Spike"
Together: "The Super Koopa Cousins"

There`s a channel that still shows the Super Mario Brothers Super Show, but I think it`s only in New England. I miss the Super Mario World show the most. Super Mario, Super Mario, Super Mario....World. It`s a balst from the past.

Paper Mario is gonna do awesome. Yoshi`s Story was only a flop because of ignorant players. They didn`t look beneath all the cute Yoshi stuff and simple levels. If they did, they would of seen depth and a game worth buying.
