Now all that's left is convincing North America not to buy the Xbox. A lot of Xbox supporters say that it's the superior system not just because of technological ability, but because you can burn games. That means that you can rent a game, burn it, and have your new game for much less than you'd spend to buy it. Xbox supporters like the system mainly because it's easy to rip off! I think the biggest factor in the Xbox's doom is the lack of consumer loyalty. Nintendo has been around for longer than many of its fans have been alive, whereas Microsoft is trying too hard to be too popular too fast without anything to back it up. Anybody else feel mild guilt for playing Nintendo games as ROMs, never mind burning copies (if it were possible)...?

And to think, I chewed out a Nintendo-playing friend of mine today for daring to say that Xbox is the better system....At least she only thinks so for the rip-off factor.

...I won't argue Chupperson, I know I wouldn't stand a chance. But I mean back when you could actually buy a NES brand-new, and when video rental stores carried the games, and when graphics like that were considered pretty good. *shakes her head* Still cool, huh...Well, I prefer systems with more processing power than a pocket calculator, but hey, that's just me....

SMB/DH all the way. I still remember opening up that NES bundle pack on Christmas and freaking out...Back in the days when the NES was actually cool...Ah, good times...

I still have my NES. It's out at my grandparents' camp, for when I'm trapped in the wilderness without newer technology. :D

I think they'll keep porting NES/SNES games to the GBA, it's lots easier. N64 games? Maybe they'll get remade/sequelled, like with Sunshine and Mario Party 4. I don't want to see them put out an adaptor and then leave the issue, since I personally buy a new game about one every never and I don't own any of my old favourites (since ROMs don't count).

Yeah, I'm right-handed. Which is kinda weird, cuz I'm a rather right-brained person.

Kirby! I adore Kirby! It's just a shame they use so much unnecessary CGI, the characters would look perfectly fine without it. Even Kirby's transformations could be done without comp graphics, like on Sailor Moon or something. Except for Kirby's inhale, I can't think of anything that really needs CGI to look good. Poor Dyna Blade, she's so stiff-looking...

Other than that, I occasionally watch Pokémon and Sailor Moon, and Zoids is pretty kewl. Now THAT's a show that knows how to mix anime and CGI.

I usually buy one small food item and a bunch of toys. That's what I did for the Dairy Queen Digimon toys. :D They usually only make you buy food with the toy for really popular toys like the McDonalds Beanie Babies.

I agree that Nintendo's got experience and fan loyalty on their side. They've been around forever and are synonnymous with video games; how many people do you know who say "Nintendo games" in reference to any video game? Mario's one of the most recognised characters in the world. They may not completely own the market, but Nintendo's still got it pretty good if you ask me. I resent Microsoft for barging into the gaming market, throwing some money around and suddenly being a contender. What, like Bill Gates doesn't own enough of the world already? (Don't flame me, I know Gates has nothing to do with it...)

Well, I see one major benefit for being able to play your Gameboy games on the 'Cube: less money spent on batteries. It's not enough to make me want to run out and buy a GBA, but hey, it's something....

So THAT's why I saw that 180 commercial for Gamecube...!

I live in fear of the day Nintendo gets bought out by Microsoft. Let's all cross our fingers, knock on wood, give our Gamecubes a big hug and hope that that's not the announcement.

Hmm, Nintendo sure seems to like the idea of hooking up things (ie. 'Cube and GBA). Maybe it'll be a new accessory of some sort?

Or maybe advance as in Gamecube? Heh, everyone would be whining that the 'Cube can do better than that. I agree, the time would be better spent on SMRPG. Unless the two could be merged somehow? That'd rock.

Ah, this looks exactly like my old Pokémon forum's situation. It too has had its ups and downs. Don't worry folks, the people worth having will probably wander back, and it's not the end of the world if there's only a few posts per day. At least the TMK site still works, so this place won't go extinct or anything.

I love the Kirby anime! In fact, I'm downright obsessed with it. Besides the obviously adorable Kirby, Meta Knight kicks more butt than a butt-kicking machine locked in a roomful of butts! That's a lot of butt-kicking! And Dyna Blade looks pretty kewl, she's completely computer-animated, but I'm disappointed at how stiffly she moves.

And the show may seem sickeningly cute at first, but it's got a really angsty premise. Kirby's going to grow up to save the universe against seemingly impossible odds, where Meta Knight and many other talented fighters failed. What kind of burden is that to place on a young creampuff? And he'll probably lose a lot of friends along the way; the robot dog and Chilly have already been destroyed, and we're only about 10 or 12 episodes into the series. I got all emotional at the Chilly ep...

Yeah, I never got any farther than World 8 in SMB. Although I still have my old NES and SMB, maybe I should try...I still have SMB3, never beat that either. I wonder if my mom ever beat SMB, she used to play it a lot...It'd be kind of sad if my mom were better at video games than me. ^_^
