I would insert a picture of my wallpaper, but I'm still utterly confused about how to insert a picture or link. Can anyone summarize how to do this?

Sure thing. It's all in the HTML tags.
Please don't insert a picture... It'll make the tables here explode. Anyway, the tags.

If it's small enough so that you could just put it in the forum:

<img src="URL">

If it's too big, make a link to the page using:

<a href="URL">(text for hyperlink)[/url]

That's how it's done. If you want to take the time to resize the picture using tags:

<img height="#pxls" width="#pxls" src="URL">

~Fixed the link. You need to make sure to put the "http://" in the URL, or else it thinks it's a continuation of a Classicgaming URL . ~Sapph

~Edit: okay, the URL itself must be incorrect.

Remember, you need to check the "Check here to use HTML in your message" check box.

EDIT: Yes, quotation marks are essential.

I got a 404 page for that, I think you need to put quotation marks or apostrophes at the beginning and end of the URL, like in Suffix's post.

Well, even though that link dosen't work, I get the idea of how to use a link, because I got one to work on another post. Thanks.

No problem.
I was digging around in my old desktops when I found this somewhat interesting one of Wolf O'Donnel. Notice the optical thingy on his left eye-- I produced something similar for an avatar recently.

I'd post mine, but it isn't on the Net. I just got several pictures together in MS Powerpoint, and saved it as a GIF file.

This is my current wallpaper. It reminds me of a painting I did a few years ago. (Originally I had wanted to put a lit town in the valley, but I didn't have time to. Without it, though, it fits a seasonal theme better that I've been doing.)

For my wallpapers, I usually like scenes that depict a lot of depth, generally landscapes and seascapes. My current one reflects that nicely.

Props to creating this topic, Vid. :D

The plain blue Background is probably the best, I never use a picture. Actually my sister sometimes makes annyoing patterns in paint with pretty purple and things like that. Ugh. The Blue seems to tickle my fancy.

How would like all of these colors on your background? Hmm, I do like Sapph's painting a lot. I think that with her permission, I may use it. This will be my first real wallpaper!

First of all, please use capitalization where it's needed, this isn't freaking real-time, you have all the time in the world to type. Second, to answer your question, you see that Print Screen button? That's how you take screenshots. After pressing Print Screen, go to Paint and either press Ctrl-V or go to Edit and choose Paste.

For those who want to know where o_0 from the chatroom went, he became WarpRattler. I felt that it was time for change.
