Guess we're too busy being stereotypically awesome to bother with things like that. Driving red convertibles, surfing to town, etc.

I was kind of young at the time, but I remember when I saw a piece of merchandise with a caricature of Jesse Ventura (who, as some may remember, was actually voted in as the governor of Minnesota). It said "Our governor can beat up your governor." Yeah, Minnesota has a great track record in politics (not trying to insult any particular party, just going off of the "wacky local politicians" comment).

...And yes, it's time! I haven't moved yet, but the fact remains that I'll need to have my nose to the grindstone--ensuring my future, and all that. I'm taking Japanese, though, so that'll be something to share when the next break rolls around!

I have to leave. I can no longer visit a community that, while great for the most part, is too relaxed with flat out hateful speech. And rather than get worked up, call it out, and have nothing happen, I'll just leave instead. Which is a shame, but maybe I'll visit some time in the future and see if it's any better
