Title: Dorayaki
Post by: Ninjap00 on May 15, 2011, 06:59:46 PM

So, how many of you have had this Japanese delicacy? It's available pretty much anywhere in Japan, but it's fairly obscure everywhere else.

To those who picked poll option #3: Dorayaki is basically sweet red bean jam in between two pancakes. It's funny to place one atop a bunny's head.

I demand that anyone who henceforth uses my "ever tried poutine" template pay a ten-dollar licensing fee.

There isn't rabbit in poutine.

Pancakes, sweet bean paste and rabbit doesn't sound very appetizing. Of course, it's probably far healthier than poutine.

I need to try dorayaki, it is probably one of the best breakfasts ever (well I don't know what the sweet red bean paste tastes like, but I'm just gonna go ahead and assume it's delicious).

Be warned: It contains whole beans.

I tried making my own western version this morning using baked beans. But I was too lazy to make the pancakes, so

It was delicious and I recommend it

You ate baked beans for breakfast?

I've never considered doing that.
