She actually sounds better without the autotune.

In her defense, she's taking it pretty well, and she doesn't seem to have an inflated ego.

Although no matter how well she takes it I just can't bring myself to think any more highly than before about the song itself.

And Justin Bieber?  Really?  I don't know whether she's pretending to be intelligent or pretending to be an idiot.

The Good Morning America interview.

"After seeing it go from 4,000 views to 70,000 views in one night and then waking up in the morning gotta be fresh gotta go downstairs gotta have my bowl gotta have cereal and it was at 200,000 views, that's when I realized, this is gonna be big"

In her defense, she's taking it pretty well, and she doesn't seem to have an inflated ego.
Agreed, she could probably cash in on the attention if they didn't do any autotune and the lyrics weren't hilariously awful.

She's in eighth grade, correct? Cut her some slack for being wishful.

If I were a record label, I'd sign her on right now to do an album of jazz covers. It'd get plenty of attention, sell at least pretty well, and possibly even be decent, considering the few seconds of un-autotuned singing we heard in the interview.

And Bieber is actually pretty good.

I doubt that anyone is after Justin Bieber, Lady Gaga, or [insert popular pop star here] because they think they necessarily have bad voices.

Ugh, the Ark Music Factory -- where spoiled parents with too much money go to whore their children out for fame.

Now that Rebecca Black has shown herself to be a fully sentient human being, it's harder to mock her without feeling guilty. Darn you, CrossEyed.

F everything about this.

Also I love in the ABC interview the reporter is basically saying, "Are you aware of how terrible this song is? No? Really? Seriously this is bad." I especially love how she read direct quotes about how bad it is.

"I'm CJ Fam and I'm eleven years old."
"How long have you been singing, CJ?"
"Oh, I've been singing for... since I was really young, like seven?"

"Give it up, everybody! Another young artist that has more talent -- WOO! -- than my little toe in my body got in it!"

Cut a kid some slack for perceiving time differently than she will when she's older.

Someone has found a way to make this bearable.

Or at least annoying in a funnier way.

I figured out what abou is so irritating. Well, aside from the obvious.

She smiles wrong. Rather than smile lifting the muscles at the corner of her mouth, raising her cheeks and squinting her eyes, she pulls the corner out as she lifts her upper lip up. It's more like a pained or forced smile, and creates heavy nasolabial lines, and looks unnatural.
