Title: "We Don't Torture."
Post by: ShadowBrain on April 21, 2009, 09:08:02 PM
Oops, nevermind, I guess we do! Obviously/hopefully, no one here is in favor of that, but any specific thoughts on the confirmation of something most everyone assumed, anyway? (no link because I assume everybody's heard about this on the news by now)

Torturing sucks. Twas a shame we had to use such craven tactics to get information out of people.

EDIT: That's not really specific, I suppose. I will say that just because our enemies torture our soldiers doesn't mean we should do the same to their soldiers. Bush lied to us about a lot of stuff during his presidency; furthermore, Guantamamo Bay comes to mind when I hear "We don't torture." Obama is doing the right thing by shutting down Guantanamo Bay and promoting peace to other countries.

I was about to post a topic on this but you beat me to it.

We should only torture as a last resort, or during desperate situation.
