*facepalm* For over twenty years, Mario has gone out of his way to save Princess Peach whenever she gets captured. If that's not commitment, I don't know what is.

If Mario lived in outer space with Rosalina, then who'd be left on the Mushroom World to save Peach? Mind you, the observatory only passes the planet once a century, so Mario would be too old to save Peach by the time he returns.
Plus, Peach is a very good person to mooch off of. After all, she is a princess. If Mario lived with Rosalina, all he'd have to eat are those star bits (the taste of honey can get pretty old after a while).

No. It makes the Mario fans upset and the new choice might not work as well for some reason. And I think Peach has earned some sort of reputation for being stronger than she appears. If Peach is switched for Rosalina, I wouldn't expect Rosalina to be doing tennis or smash brawls, which would be a loss.

Considering only reality, it is a great idea. Traveling through space for the rest of his life, ALL of Mario's adventures to come would be as epic as Super Mario Galaxy!

Pauline is old, OLD hat. She was made before any of the other Mario cast. Heck, Mario wasn't even called Mario back then. In MvDK 2, she's in the "just friends" category. In Super Mario Land, he's just doing hero work by saving another kingdom from another villain. Rosalina was just somebody who was helping Mario on his journey.
So, NO Mario's not going to dump Peach. I mean, geez, would you dump someone who you cared enough about to risk your life for?

You all act as if there are no other possibilities! Surely Mario could have some good times with Toadette, or maybe he could just free himself and live alone without having to worry about stuff like that. Of course, in order to live alone, all he'd really have to do would be to kick Luigi out of the house.

If the Observatory travels at or near the speed of light most of the time, Rosalina can be a pretty normal age. Relativity. I don't remember why, but I remember Bill Nye doing a thing with two twins where one flies around at the speed of light for a while and when he gets back, his brother is a lot older than him. It might be pointless to point out that normal things do exist on deviantArt (aside from people taking photos of random people, animals, and scenery). Regardless whether it's true that it's dominated by art that's anime (personally I haven't found that to be the case, but that's because I don't search for that sort of thing) or art that's off-kilter, that's the sort of thing that will stick in our minds.

I'm not so sure about the semi-realistic Vel-- I mean, Yoshi. It reminds me too much of a velociraptor, and those things gave me nightmares when I was an elementary schooler (in short, they don't look friendly). Sure, the current Yoshi has a stature similar to a velociraptor, but Yoshi's roundedness reminds me of a gecko.

Lord that was one of the funniest things I've seen in a while. Yoshi with the cat-like smile, Bowser picking his nose, Mario as ugly as heck, suggestive stuff, catchy Japanese music.
It was all so wrong, and yet so right.

All I know is that seeing Mario and Bowser arguing together about Peach makes me happy for some reason. This video's such a great example of why I'm glad to be a Mario fan.
For some reason I'm reminded of Marrymore in Super Mario RPG, what happens if you don't get Peach's brooch fast enough. Bowser and Mario together has to be one of the more disturbing things I've seen in the series.
After reading an article somewhere saying Bowser's the victim, his love for Peach eternal, and Peach being a manipulative witch (can't link to it because of language)... well, it convinced me that putting a twisted view on these three characters turns them into one of the most interesting three-character teams I've seen. Or three-character love triangle.
*watches again* I may have been overpraising it. I'll claim that the video made me mentally drunk.
