It's epicstorming outside right now.
-
It's hot here. :(
-
Right now it's inhumanely hot; about a week and a half ago, a nasty storm blew through and ripped the crap out of everything, mostly trees.
-
Hot cool rain shine, that's Tulsa for you!
-
Humid and hot. I can stand the heat but the humidity is just really annoying.
-
It was storming pretty bad here last night, but it's cloudy and calm now.
-
Bleak.
-
We're experiencing flooding. I spent all of today sandbagging.
-
I know how you feel... We had the biggest flood here a while back.
-
We went from mild winter chill to under-the-magnifying-glass in just one day. However, as of this very moment of typing this, it's raining out.
P.S. 500th post!
-
Here it's getting rather hot again. At about this time of year, it stays pretty much at 90° or above until at least the end of August.
-
its getting around 101degrees where I live.
-
Its nice over here at the moment, but I think it will get stormy a little later.
-
Nothing but storms and massive heat with humidity for the past four days but tonight there will be a storm with relief until Friday night.
-
Snowed today.
Yes I'm writing this on June 10th.
-
Upstate New York's weather is stupid. Yesterday and the day before were over 100. Schools let out early so the kids didn't get heat stroke. Today it's cold. What the heck, upstate New York? Seriously.
-
This year it's almost like the year gave spring a leave and went straight from winter to summer. From really cold, snowy weather to really hot, humid weather, too. At least snow was a welcome change. Hasn't snowed much around here for the past couple years.
-
The sky's half-orange and half-blue, and it's raining and hailing at the same time.
-
now the weather has been very crappy, about a week or two ago it was nice and sunny. now its been raining and hailing.
-
Weather here has been hot, but fairly calm. A few days ago it was raining and thundering a bit, but other then that, it's been okay.
-
My state is in a bit of a disaster area right now. We've had thunderstorms, tornadoes, floods the last few days. Fortunately, there is very little damage in the area I live in.
-
The power went out for literally 3 seconds last night. Other than that, the storms have been pretty mild so far this summer.
-
I've been gone for a few days because of the weather! The flood here in Iowa is no longer cute, it is scary. They call it the 500 year flood.
-
They call it the 500 year flood.
Dang! I too live in Iowa, and I know the flooding has been nasty in certain areas, but I haven't heard the flooding being called that till now.
-
Last I heard, 83 out of the 99 counties in Iowa were declared disaster areas. That's like 83%.
-
Yeah man. Luckily I live on a big hill, but I have friends who no longer have houses.
-
Yeah man. Luckily I live on a big hill, but I have friends who no longer have houses.
I live on a hill too. It'd have to be one heck of a flood in order for our house to be flood damaged
-
Do you live in Iowa City?
-
Do you live in Iowa City?
No, I'm around the western part of Iowa
-
Ah shucks. Well it's definitely crazy. But apparently the flood peaked today.
-
It's horribly hot. Very unseasonal (if Southern California was seasonal).
At midnight today, it was 80 degrees. It peaked at 102 yesterday.
-
It's pretty hot where I am, too. And I had to wear a long-sleeved shirt and sweat pants today while I was washing all my T-shirts and shorts.
-
Super bump. Rainy
-
Actually very reasonable and nice. Of course, once I start work it'll turn brutal Sahara hot.
-
It's actually been reasonably nice where I live. Some days have even been around 70 or so during an overcast. Right now, it's about 83 degrees.
-
Pretty hot the last few days, but it got cooler last evening and now we've got some fair rain.
-
Burning like hell where I live and the humidity isn't that fun either.
-
It's partly cloudy where I am with a slight chance of thunderstorms later this evening. :)
-
Snowed here yesterday.
While TEM and I were in a tent.
With no sleeping bags.
-
OMG!!! My Lizard Dude/TEM slash fic came true!!!!!!!
EDIT: Also, out of curiosity, where the fudge do you live, LD? Greenland or something?
-
Today seemed nice, though I spent most of it indoors. I did hear that it'll be raining a lot for most of this week.
-
It was snowing off and on all week...ITS JUNE
-
From the TEM CAM (http://www.tem.kontek.net/Pictures/Montana%20Adventure%2009/DSCF4420.JPG).
-
That's really pretty excellent.
-
So you live in Fargo, North Dakota?
-
Urgh. Cloudy and rainy and... perfect for staying inside and playing video games! What the heck am I complaining about?
-
It's cold and cloudy, with an occasional gust of wind.
-
Where I am, it's warm and sunny with a consistent light breeze. Perfect for staying inside and playing video games!
-
There comes a time in a man's life when he gets really really really sick of staying inside and playing video games. This is that time.
-
It is very rainy currently. It has actually gotten less rainy.
Tonights forecast: Dark
-
It's mild and rainy where I am. After "winter" lasting into mid-May, I don't care what the heck it's like outside, as long as it's not cold.
-
Tornadoes came through yesterday and we have evacuated our current living place due to the fact trees were knocked down nearby and our power is out. Luckily we weren't directly affected by the tornadoes, but rather strong winds and really heavy rain. The entire day today was pretty miserable. Staying at my grandparents house right now.
Yesterday I was at the movies watching Knowing with Nicholas Cage and the power went out because of the tornadoes. I missed all of the movie except for maybe the first thirty minutes. I'm not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing.
-
That sucks.
The part about having to watch any part of Knowing, I meant.
-
Hey, it wasn't that bad.
Also, where would that still be in theaters?
-
Dollar theaters.
-
Exactly.
We've tired ourselves out lately at the new-release theaters lately (money-wise), so we retired from it for the time being.
-
It's hot and cloudy, and when it does rain, the rain doesn't even feel good. Rain is supposed to be cool, the water that's been falling from the sky hasn't been all that cool as of late. But that's summer for you.. :(
-
Raining again. So I'm keeping my eye on the cat, while watching Boomerang
-
Ah, nice and sunny out right now. Think I'll go for a walk.
-
We've had a few stormy nights over here in North Carolina lately. Otherwise, it's nice and hot. Great for water balloon fights.
-
I've never participated in a water balloon fight since that one summer in which my dad hit me with one right in the eye. It stung for weeks.
-
Rain was pelting down and LOUD thunder here. And I mean LOUD! L-O-U-D LOUD!!!!
-
Hot... in Hawaii!
-
Okay, we've got an insane heat wave going on here. As in, going-to-peak-in-the-100s hot. In Washington. I can stand outside shirtless at night and be comfortably warm. It would be bad enough just being really hot, but I saw Knowing again a few days ago...
-
Being in Central Texas, we're at the very bottom of tornado alley. (Also, if you remember the Jarrell, TX EF5 tornado that hit in 1997... I lived 25 miles north of that town. We had many EF0s and EF1s in Troy where I lived at the time while the EF5 was occuring).
When I was younger, we'd have a few to several tornadoes every summer. As of the past 5-6 years, there have been tornadoes one summer, then no tornadoes the next, always following that pattern. This summer broke that trend and there have been about 7-10 tornadoes reported within 40 miles of where I live from late May to now, one of the warnings being issued for the city of Morgan's Point Resort...which is where I live and I saw the thing! (MPR is 2.6 square miles and considered a city, but Belton is the "mother-town," if you will, and that's where I say I live when asked... that is if you're not from the area.)
Anyway, as of late, it's been horribly hot like it was every summer when I was younger. The past 6-7 years have shown an unusual trend of being moderately warm for most of the summer, then getting into the triple digits in September while being cold/cool as late as April. Two years ago, it snowed here on Easter day, extremely unusual because the temperature would already be in the high 80s/low 90s by that time.
This summer has also broken that trend, and it's been hot since mid-March, as always. We actually broke a heat record that was set in the 1960s for most consecutive days of triple-digit temperatures (previous record was 29 days, new record is 32 days). The lowest of those triple digit days was 101º, while the hottest day was 112º with a heat index of 116º-117º. Yeah, that's hot. If the humidity is low, it's bearable, but if not, it's absolutely killer. With occasional storms, it'll be horribly humid in the morning, burn off during the day and just be super hot, then once it starts cooling down, it gets very humid again- extremely annoying.
Lowest temperature in my area I've ever experienced: 14º
Highest temperature in my area I've ever experienced: 119º
-
It hailed this afternoon. O_o
-
It's raining and thundering. No lightning as of yet. I was kinda hoping for a good thunderstrom.. :(
-
California all of the sudden wants to be temperate and seasonal. By that I mean that it's been unnaturally hot here.
-
It snowed today.
-
^
Any pics?
Anyway, it was supposed to rain all day today and it didn't. It stormed like crazy the night before, however.
-
Finally rained all day yesterday from morning to the next day after weeks of no rain.
