Some of you may already know about this but Pikmin 3 has been officially announced by Miamoto and is said to come out in the US in December 25, 2008.

Think of the the capabilities the Wiimote will have on this new game! It's gonna be really cool!

I edited the post to change the word "hate" to "have". It was a typo that Glorb made me aware of.

Just in case someone actually believed it, I might as well say here that Pikmin 3 is definitely not coming out Dec. 25. Since Nintendo didn't show it in the reel at the October 2 conference, it won't be out until holiday '09 at the absolute earliest.

Pikmin 1 and 2 are being re-released with Wii controls and widescreen, but that's about it.

No, they confirmed that they're working on a new Pikmin title as well. Also, I only heard about Pikmin 2 being rereleased on Wii.

It looks like one of those cheap imitations of a game for a handheld originally made for a tv console. Nintendo does that alot.
EDIT: Nintendo or third party companys that make games for nintendo consoles.

Yeah like Rayman Raving Rabbids. That was for wii then they made a real lame version for the DS. And guitar hero for the DS (not that guitar hero 3 for the wii wasn't already lame enough).

I actually like the picture. Its graphic style is nice (I especially like the text and day markers), and it looks like it could be an official Pikmin DS game. Props to whoever made that.

I use it all the time to reword something I noticed after hitting post (rare, considering how long I usually take to look over and finally post most replies), but it's usually within the thirty seconds after posting so it doesn't appear. It's never to remove content or anything, and the only time I can think of in recent years where it was after someone replied to it was this post (http://themushroomkingdom.net/board/index.php?topic=11958.msg517314#msg517314), where I slashed out Quest and added Monsters to clarify that I only meant the first game released in the US, rather than the whole series (at least, I'm pretty sure that's the part I edited, since that edit was shortly after I posted something mentioning Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker...which, to be fair, isn't much better in the story department).
Also, Glorb, that's exactly what moderators are supposed to do: moderate.

But most of the time they're not ban-worthy, and definitely not censor-worthy. They tend to conflict with either the mod's moral beliefs *coughSapphiracough* or personal opinions *coughIScough*. I'm not saying that happens on a daily basis, and it doesn't happen as much as it used to, but it still happens, which is way too often.

Look at that. The post was self-removed 20 days later. That's ridiculous. Because of it, I couldn't even figure out where the topic of me picking a VP came from (I was going to make a joke about it).
This has to stop. Is there a setting to create a time limit? Like you can't edit your posts after 24 hours or something?

It would still be broken. Weekly Releases was made so you could click on it and quickly see what was being released in the upcoming week. Having to make a new post every week (or more, in case you missed something or a release date changed) would make the topic messy and disorganized.
I really don't think it's worth it to take away yet another one of our powers just for the sake of Internet comedy. After all, can't you just call people out on editing their posts if it was done to cover up something stupid or embarassing?

Or quit whining, live with it and just get annoyed with the people who do edit their posts rather than the fact that they can. You can't always get what you want.
