Mine would probably have to be Baseball. It's a lot deeper than the other sports and requires much more time. Also, it allows two totally different types of game play, pitching and batting.
-
How can you open up a Wii pole so quickly? When not even half the people here have one yet!!
-
Well, obviously, you wait in line for the midnight unveiling like my brother and I did. We've never been so cutting edge before!
My favorite sport is boxing, as it appears to be what I'm best at. I'm also decent at tennis.
-
Wii Curling.
-
Boxing PWNS ALL.
(Baseball is horrible(ly hard for me).)
-
Boxing is the funnest, especially if you use a Mii that resembles Sylvester Stallone.
-
I would've voted boxing, but it's far too tiring. I like tennis alot.
Golf is terrible.
-
In golf I have absolutely no control over where the ball goes or what is happening. The courses are basically impossible and you can't putt or judge your strength worth a darn.
Nintendo has created a perfect representation of real golf!

Hahaha!

Tennis is cool.
Golf is kinda fun.
Bowling is cool too.
Baseball is kind of fun.
Haven't played Boxing yet.
-
I think golf is my favorite. Bowling is my 2nd favorite. Boxing is fun but you have to fight like a rockem sockem robot to do it effectively. Golf and bowling feel the most natural to me. Tennis would be fun, but I don't know anyone that has a big enough room to play a multiplayer game of it safely. Baseball is fun, but like LD said; it is a bit on the difficult side to score.
-
Bowling wins. It's my favorite real-life sport, I'm good at it, and it's not hard to figure out. Boxing is second just because. But yeah, it tires me out. I'm no good at tennis, really, but I'll give it third. Baseball gets fourth because Golf can't. Golf is the not best because it's really dificult and I don't know a thing about it.
-
I like pretty much all of them. I would say, though, that bowling or tennis would be my favorite. At least, those are the ones I play the most. I'll play 9 holes with my father every few days, since it is just as frustrating as the real game. To stay in the swing of things for the actual golf season. Boxing is a little dull since it doesn't seem the computer even tries, and I don't have another Nunchuck. Baseball is fun, but rather difficult, even though I enjoy the Wii training with the 10 pitches. But everyone that comes over to my house gets really into the tennis and bowling, it's just so much more fun with a houseful of people yelling about a split someone barely missed.
-
If you think the computer doesn't even try on boxing, keep winning until your opponents are ranked in the 900s. Then haaaaave fuuuun! :D
-
Oh, I don't even mind when they don't fight back. It still is fun to do.
-
I'm not too sure what exactly this Wii thing does (I hear it's physical), but could someone enlighten me on the baseball game?
-
I'm no good at baseball, but it's pretty well done. You hold the Wii remote like a baseball bat, the buttons facing you, and the pitcher throws tha ball. You swing the Wiimote in real life and your character on-screen swings his/her bat at the same time. You can't really run the bases--however far you go depends on how far you hit the ball. When you get three outs, you get to pitch. There are ways to do advanced pitches, but the simple way is to just swing the Wiimote. The faster you swing it, the faster the ball is thrown. The Mii (customized character you made) you chose is the captain/pitcher you play as, and any other Miis you have play on your team with you. I've batted as a Lego Man and Alex Trebek. You even get neat-o striped pants.
Did you get all that? If it sounds dangerous, don't worry--the wrist strap will help protect your French vase by eliminating flying remote controls from your home.
-
Until the strap breaks when you get overexcited, of course.
-
Of course, that won't happen if you have a good grip.
-
Until your grip, of course, weakens from fatigue.
-
Of course, that's when you stop playing, of course.
-
So I could get one of these Wiis and use it to fine-tune my stroke?
-
Isn't he delightfully unaware?

My favorite would probably be Bowling, with Tennis taking a very close second. My cousin just loves Boxing ( he used to do Karate when we were younger ) and so do I, so that would probably be a third for me.

Nah, it wouldn't really help your real golf in any way.
-
Not golf, I'm referring to my approach at the plate. The problem with the offseason is that I don't play in a fall league anywhere because of all the service activities I do in the fall so the only workouts I can get are lifting and running. Not a lot of swinging the bat (I can do it, but not on a real field...just in the cages).
I may eventually look into this...do you use a bat-like controller object or do you just use your hands as if you were holding one, or do you hold the remote control thingy that the Wii uses and swing that?
-
Are you completely unable to research the subject yourself or what?
-
See, this is what happens when you fail to properly advertise a system some time before its released. Then you air a commercial a week before release during of all your choices, Dancing With The Stars?! Might as well air commercials on the Food Network or Animal Planet.
-
Hmm, I guess it could work your swinging muscles, but the remote doesn't have the weight of a bat so you'd probably turn into a weenie when you picked up a real bat again.
Maybe tape the remote to the handle of a bat!
-
I've seen those steering wheels they make for racing games, so perhaps they'd make a weighted bat that you could use as a controller. Now THAT would make the Wii worth buying!
-
You would have to be awfully careful with it, though.
-
Yeah... not like it would actually follow your movements or anything. And you'd just end up with a baseball bat through your TV.
-
If the remote were strapped to the handle, it would follow your movements as well as it always does.
-
/me attaches a bowling ball to his Wiimote. Nothing could possibly go wrong here.
-
The distance would have to be pretty good on the weighted bat idea.
It's really no big deal--I've swung bats in my bedroom, living room, etc for years and never have had a problem. Of course, I also leave a lot of open space. (The reason I do this is to work on my stance/foot positioning).
