Neither. How about DOUNUT. Only because it looks like Doumit (Ryan Doumit is one of my favorite major leaguers but you say his name DOE-mitt).

Very interesting...I could never see those movies put together.

But I keep having a recurring dream. I keep dreaming it's Spring 2005 again. The time of year seems to vary but it's always between late February and early June. The same people are always there. In Spring 2005 I was in high school and was a senior, and most of my dreams seem to take place at my high school. The people in the dream are my closest friends from there and occasionally a teacher or two seems to show up.

Am I having these because I loved high school so much and I miss these people dearly? They've recurred more often since a few weeks ago when I went back to my high school for a day to observe a teacher (I'm an ed major in college). I also had a nice conversation with one of my old friends after school and I think we both realized that we really missed each other--she was like a sister to me, both older and younger--this girl helped me set my life straight and if it weren't for her I wouldn't be where I am now but she's also three years younger than me so we both sort of feed off each other for advice. She shows up in my dreams a lot even though we are not in a romantic relationship yet she is one of only three people I trust with telling my life secrets to (the other two being my best buddy, 32 years old and pretty much my big bro; and my old baseball coach who is like a father to me).

Could it be I am going back to these days a lot because I no longer have this trio at college and although I seem pretty cool, confident, outgoing, popular, etc on the outside I am bottling too much up and I want to think of better times when I had these people plus a bunch of other friends who I think about on a daily basis even though I've got plenty more buddies at college?

^ Did a Holocaust project in eighth grade, but won't give you his paper because he doesn't know where the CD he backed it up on is anymore (plus it was written in March 2001 so it's been a long time)
< Although he doesn't have his paper, would gladly research it again because he is a history buff
V Is, like me, interested in presidential history and trivia

You are absolutely correct on 1. Even though he was considered a Federalist (and incorrectly listed as one in some books), he never joined any party. In fact, he was unhappy when he left office because of the division of America based on political parties. Hot issues the parties were divided over in those days (the Federalists and the Democratic-Republican party, often called Anti-Federalists) included who to side with in a war involving France and Britain and how many rights states could have.

Here are some to get you started...most are American history related except the last one.

1. What political party did George Washington join?
2. Who was the only non-presidential Colonial era man to be represented on US coinage?
3. Which state(s) were admitted to the union during Thomas Jefferson's presidency?
4. What was the point of some of Abraham Lincoln's early (circa 1861) speeches relating to slavery?
5. Who was the only president to never marry?
6. What important event happened on September 17, 1862?
7. Which president was the least talkative in history?
8. Who or what killed Nathaniel Bacon?
9. Who was on the $500 bill?
10. Which major leaguer hit the winning home run in the 1960 World Series and for what team?

The distance would have to be pretty good on the weighted bat idea.

It's really no big deal--I've swung bats in my bedroom, living room, etc for years and never have had a problem. Of course, I also leave a lot of open space. (The reason I do this is to work on my stance/foot positioning).

I have a huge wish list...

1. A racing game that deals with stock European cars.
2. A good Civil War simulation that includes multiple battles (specifically I'd like to see Antietam, Gettysburg, and Vicksburg).
3. A solid World War II game where you are in the air force.
4. A puzzle game like 3 in Three for the Mac used to be.
5. I'm not sure if it's in Wii Sports, but an air hockey game.
6. A co-ed basketball game (that is, basketball simulation with girls and boys playing together).
7. A game similar to Sim City, except you control a mall.
8. A game similar to Sim City, except you control a school.
9. THIS ONE IS HARDWARE: A weighted baseball bat for the Wii baseball game (I'd get a Wii if they had this).
10. THIS ONE IS ALSO HARDWARE: A keyboard so you can enter names better into Madden and MVP Baseball.

I've seen those steering wheels they make for racing games, so perhaps they'd make a weighted bat that you could use as a controller. Now THAT would make the Wii worth buying!

One that's NOT wacko, eh?

Here's one. I was in the lounge area at my college and at this table were two of my close friends from high school (both of whom still go there). I don't know if I was a few years older then (I would have had to be a senior if both of them were there). It was great because I love those two to death--they are like my little sisters.

The only strange thing (although this may also be a good thing) is that we acted like there was nothing strange about being at this college together! I know they both want to go to a larger place but perhaps they finally saw the light in my dream! We were sitting around talking about just about everything, still looking exactly the same as we do now even if this thing was in the future. One of them was injured but she's got a new injury every other month so it's nothing new. Also, they were both wearing the same Abercrombie & Fitch top for some reason. (All three of us are hopelessly in love with that store)

Now that was a good dream. Better than the nightmarish ones I've had a lot of lately.

Not golf, I'm referring to my approach at the plate. The problem with the offseason is that I don't play in a fall league anywhere because of all the service activities I do in the fall so the only workouts I can get are lifting and running. Not a lot of swinging the bat (I can do it, but not on a real field...just in the cages).

I may eventually look into this...do you use a bat-like controller object or do you just use your hands as if you were holding one, or do you hold the remote control thingy that the Wii uses and swing that?

I'm not too sure what exactly this Wii thing does (I hear it's physical), but could someone enlighten me on the baseball game?

Normally I don't look at this section of the forum, but I think this is pretty funny.

I've been on some crazy teams and some guys have dressed up as stuff on road trips (we had a gorilla run through a hotel once and raid the continental breakfast of bananas), but this tops all of them. He actually looks like something out of Disney World--it's like a Mickey Mouse costume but it's Luigi.

Why escort this guy out? My crazy friends never got into trouble on our trips back in the day. Sr. Year tournament was the craziest for us--some guys brought like three costumes. I was always the sane one, who didn't dress up and just check out the ladies on trips.

I'll have my mom double check. She's the one who came up with the idea anyway. I already bought him a nice pair of pajamas.

So it's the kicking system that's flawed? I know they changed it on the Game Cube with 2007 (it took me about two games to figure it out) so perhaps they're experimenting with kick systems? I actually think the new kick system is more accurate as to how you kick (it reminds me more of placekicking in real life--I used to be the kicker for our peewee football club back in the day before I concentrated more on baseball and basketball).
