Now that I think about it, will Nintendo ever make a Mario game with sprites again? The last one that did was... Mario and Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story I think. And with Paper Mario on the 3DS, it would appear that Nintendo has moved on from that franchise (though there is a chance of it making a comeback in 3D).

Wow, I didn't think anybody outside of Square-Enix still had the balls to release a game with "7" in the title.

I just made a similar post in the Mario Kart 3DS thread. The final title for Super Mario for the 3DS is... Super Mario 3D Land.

Eh, it's ok I guess, but brings to mind Super Mario Land. I'm not really sure what Nintendo's motive was for naming the game this way.

Nintendo recently announced the official title of the game:

Mario Kart 7

Interesting name, considering no other Mario Kart game has been named this way, not even the first one, Super Mario Kart.

So starting August 12, the 3DS will only cost $169.99. After mediocre sales, this makes sense, but also may seem desperate. To appease those who bought the system early, Nintendo is giving people who buy or have bought the system before August 12th 10 free NES games and 10 free GBA games.

What do you think of this? Personally, I'm happy. I get more than $80 worth of games, and finally more people will be encouraged to get the system. A win-win for everyone, in my opinion.

How? I read the comments and followed the directions but I still don't see it.

Nintendo?  Keeping beneficial glitches in a rerelease?  Yeah, right.  Although the glitches that do nothing but make you reset the system?  Betcha those are all in.

(But seriously, I'm pretty sure this isn't just a straight port, so don't count on any of the original's glitches)

You know, I never really understood how those two levels were Donkey Kong levels. In fact a lot of Mario Kart levels seem to slap various characters' names on them and maybe put one symbol of their character in the stage: Daisy Circuit, Yoshi Falls, Wario Stadium, etc.

I think the Donkey Kong stage will most likely be based off of Donkey Kong Country Returns. I like your idea, but every DK stage so far besides 75M has been based off of a jungle area.

In Smash Bros. Brawl, many characters, stages, and more were based on games that had come out between Melee and Brawl, such as Super Mario Sunshine, Zelda Windwaker, Pikmin, and many more.

In this thread we can discuss what elements will be used from games that came out (and will come out) after Brawl in the next Smash Bros. games, the ones for the 3DS and Wii U that were confirmed at E3 this year.

I can see Nintendo making the train from Zelda Spirit Tracks be a level, having a yarn-themed stage based on Kirby's Epic Yarn, along with Prince Fluff from that game be a character.

What do you think could be used in the next Smash Bros. games based on the video games that came out after Brawl?

If the demos of Mario Kart 3DS are accurate to how the final game will be, then Nintendo has toned down the item-spamming. In the demos, blue shells were rarely seen (I watched three videos and didn't see one, though I read somewhere that they are in the demos), and the people racing were never unfairly hit with an excess of items, so there is hope that MK3DS has changed this element for the better.

Mario Kart Wii wasn't a bad game, I just wish Nintendo had put more effort into more game modes, like the mission mode from MKDS. That was a lot of fun, and I hope something similar returns for Mario Kart 3DS.

Another character that I would have expected to appear as a playable character in a Mario Kart game by this point is Toadsworth. He's appeared in more games than E. Gadd, and would make sense as a racer.

I don't like the new ghosts look quite as much as the ones from the first game, but it's not a game changer. I'm glad the game will be longer though. I most likely will pick this up when it comes out.
