"Casual", as in "not a lot", or casual as in, "games about ponies and sudoku"?

Well, hi either way! ...I think.

Casual as in "not a lot." I have other big hobbies too, so video game's aren't my main thing. The only way I would ever go near a My Little Pony game unless you paid me a substantial amount of money, and then I brainwashed you after you gave it to me so nobody knew it happened. :P

Mario Chat / Re: BEST AND WORST IN SERIES? Week 18: Ghost Levels
« on: June 15, 2008, 10:56:06 AM »
I'm gonna go against the status quo and say Super Mario Galaxy's ghost levels. I really think they took all that was great in the SMW ghost levels and twisted it around, making it even better. Sure, they weren't as puzzling, but they had all the spooky charm that they needed. Plus, the Boo suit was really cool, and I hope that we see it again someday. :)

Actually, I got Super Paper Mario last Christmas, and started getting max stats in mid-January. Every day, I was playing around 3 hours - 3 hours and 30 minutes to get either 4 Attack or 4 HP Plus items to use so I can increase my stats. As I continued, I gradually came up with a strategy that, if done fast enough, can get you 4 Attack or 4 HP Plus items a day in as little as 2 hours and 30 minutes. Coincidentally, I finished getting max stats on April 8, 2008; exactly 1 year (because of the extra day from the leap year) after Super Paper Mario's US release. The strategy can be found on my second post on the first page.

Again, very cool. Thats what I like about the Paper Mario games - they have such a hidden amount of depth and strategy in them, a lot which may not be obvious to people at first. :)

Get the secret blue star:

Okay, this is very time consuming, so listen carefully. First, you have to enter the dark world without using cheats. To do this, you need to do exactly 103 ground pounds on the castle roof. You will be transported into an empty black world. Move mario around for a while, and eventually you will come up to a sign. Read the sign and then wall jump off the wall behind it exactly 42 times. The wall is glitchy, and doesn't always connect with the wall jump however, so you will have to restart at least 37 times. The wall will open and you will enter the nintendo developer's minigame room. Play Wario's hamburger eating contest. Now, this is the crucial part. You must eat 37 pizzas in the contest, or the cartrige willl start smoking and ruin your Nintendo. How do you do this? Eat ONLY every 13 hamburger, and every 7th hamburger a pizza will show up. Once you eat 37 pizzas, you will unlock the secret level - Big Bowser on the X-BOX. In this secret level, Bowser has joined forces with Bill Gates, and Bill gates has given him the power to grow into Giga Bowser. There are glitchy lava traps that fall when you least expect them to, and X-boxes that walk around and explode on you, making your console explode. At the end, you willf fight Giga Bowser. Beat him by avoiding his attacks for 1 hour and 29 minutes, and you will get the blue star!

I am really getting tired of the stupidity of our congress in the USA. They're ruining our country with their pork laden bills and care more about getting goodies for their own county than anything else.

Oh, and I'm broke again. There, I'm done for now. ;P

Hi. I often go by Zarkan on message boards, although my full username is often Zarkanthesmasher, signaling my love of the Smash Brothers series. I'm an extremely casual gamer, and don't have a ton of money, so don't be suprised if there's a game that I haven't beaten or even played. :P

Five HP. You can't actually have it that low-the minimum is ten. I did see a video in which a person beats Bonetail with a maximum of ten HP... He made use of a glitch with Rally Wink and something else, I think. The most I can brag about with TTYD is beating the Pit of 100 Trials before finishing Chapter Seven.

No, actually, you can have the max health at 5 HP. You get this by going to see Chet Rippo and getting an upgrade that will lower your health from a max of 10. Of course, the only people who do this are masters who just want to REALLY test their skills. ;)

Mario Chat / Re: How cool would it be...
« on: June 14, 2008, 02:08:14 PM »
Yes, this would be awesome. Although, I'd like to see new additions to the engine like new poweups not already seen in NSMB.

Actually, I already was thinking about this a while ago. Since NSMB was so sucessful, how about some more games in the series? Like NSMB2, NSMB3, etc? They'd all be based on the original versions, but with new powerups, bosses, and other things - all with semi 3-D graphics! :)

Oh, and personally, I like new Yoshi better. The old Yoshi had weird proportions, even considering that he was a dinosaur. New Yoshi is much better. ;)

Okay, you must either have way too much time on your hands, or you've spent almost every day since Super Paper Mario's release playing a little bit of the game. Or maybe you spent hours and hours on vacations so it didn't take nearly as long. Or maybe....

Eh, regardless, this is really cool. Far more than I could ever do. I think this may be even cooler than beating Paper Mario TTYD with the max health in the Danger Zone. :)

Mario Chat / Re: Seasonal Mario games.
« on: June 14, 2008, 01:56:19 PM »
Well, I don't really have a preference at all, but if I wanted to play some great Mario games by seasons, I'd go with this list:

Spring - Yoshi's Island or the sequel for the DS, because they remind me of spring - especially the first world.
Summer - Mario Sunshine - Wait, I don't like that game that much, so I'd go with the latest Mario Kart, as a lot of the race tracks look like they're set in the middle of the year (more so than ever), and because its one thing the Mario characters do on vacation.
Fall - Luigi's Mansion, as it would go great with October and Halloween.
Winter - Hm, toughie. Maybe Dr Mario, since it reminds me of colds and sickness, which reminds me of the winter months.

Okay, so some of this was a stretch, but you get my picture. ;)

Mario Chat / Re: Do you believe in Mario?
« on: June 14, 2008, 01:48:01 PM »
No. Honestly, my opinion is that there's only one universe. I think the theory of infinite universes is just a concoction made up by science geeks with too much time on their hands (okay, maybe not, but you get my point. ;))

This kinda reminds me of my childhood - I remember when I was a young kid that I believed that it was possible for my imaginary worlds to exist far off in space. Times have changed... :P

Incredible run, Kimimaru. Heh, I had enough trouble beating this level at first. ;)
