Author Topic: Super Mario 64 - Max Coins?  (Read 4220 times)

Man, a lot of Super Mario 64 mania in the Mario chat, nowadays, eh?

After finally reaching the long-awaited goal of 2091 coins, I thoroughly scanned the Internet for glitches to allow more.
This is what I came up with:

255 coins in Whomp's Fortress, Wet-Dry World, Snowman's Land, and Tiny-Huge Island (though I'm not sure what the "piranha plant glitch" is.)

I don't get how any of these really work, but if someone was to get 255 coins in all these courses, the total number of coins would be:

2091 + (255 x 4) - (141 + 127 + 152 + 191) = 2500 coins!  Strange how even a number it comes out to...

Does anyone have any more information on these tricks?

Ah, a logical parodx! I don't have any more information on coin glitches unless you are asking for patch codes (Gameshark).

Duh. That's all? OK, 255 coins in THI should be a snap now, just got to kill them as they're disappearing 120+ times. Bleh.

EDIT: Oh, and this shows the moneybags glitch explained. I guess it has to jump from right where it started out for that to happen.
