please put those three in the order from best to worst.. Please be as honest and unbiased as possible, because I am about to make the most important decision of my youth very soon. If you wouldnt mind taking the time to support your reasons for listing them in the order you chose, that would make your opinion alot more convincing. Thank you for your time, and PLEASE give fair answers!!!!!

Well, it all depends on your favorite genre of games. However, I'll see what little insight I can give you.

My personal rankings are like this:

1) Gamecube
2) Playstation 2
3) X-Box

Now, hear me out. If you are only interested in the short-term gaming, as in a month or two and don't want to wait for good games, than the Gamecube is definitely not for you. Most of the Cube's star games are coming out towards the end of summer and the Fall. So, if you aren't one who likes to wait, than I would go with the PS2.

Now, the PS2 has the largest selection of games, not to say they are all good, but the largest none the less. Personally, my favorite type of game is the RPG. However, my personal opinion is that most recent RPGs have been lacking when compared to the genius of the past. That is why the Cube beats out the PS2 for me. But, if you like a lot of 3rd-party games, then the PS2 might be for you.

Now, contrary to what many say, and probably will say, the X-box isn't all that bad. Personally, Halo isn't my cup of tea, but I know many people who like it a lot. Plus, the X-Box is the most technilogically advanced system when you look at the specs. Not to mention it has the capital to back it up. It does have some interesting games, and some 3rd party support.

So, I would go with a Cube, mainly for games like Resident Evil, The upcoming Mario, Zelda, and Metroid titles, and Capcom VS SNK 2 EO (Beach Spikers LOOKS good too, if you catch my drift). If you want a large selection now, than I'd say the PS2 would be your best bet. But, if you see plenty of games you like on the X-box, you choice may lay there. I hope this has helped you out.

I totally agree with Black Mage in this topic, except that I got a PS2 last Christmas, so I really don't have to wait, not that I don't like to wait. I'd go with GC, but thats because I already got a PS2 already and I'm a big fan of Nintendo, so it all depends on what you want. Experienced company, Large Selection of games off-the-bat, or graphics and features, though I think X-Box has better graphics in games that are on all three because of hype. Take for example this one hockey game (I forgot the name), no ice being kicked up or reflections on the PS2 version, but I have seen both on other PS2 games, even a demo of Shawn Palmer's Pro Snowboarder! Also, the GC version didn't look quite as good as the X-Box version, but better than the PS2. Again, hype is the reason!

By the way, a friend of mine says he got a GC for Christmas, but then bought an X-Box and returned the GC to the store. I thought that was a VERY bad idea! He should have kept his GC so he could have all three! (he has a PS2, but probably hasn't played for who knows how long!) He was lured by the features like Internet (only works with broadband, but he has dsl) and the hard drive, plus his father likes Microsoft so much that he made a huge mistake; he bought Windows ME. That version was so darn buggy it's not even funny!

hey, thanks for your oppinions! anyway, I went from 1)xbox

I have to go out, but im going to give a few brief reasons for my choice.
-ps2 isnt offering me ANYTHING
-xbox supposedly has a built in harddrive so you dont need a memory card, but Ive learned not to trust microplay salesmen ;)
-took a look at the upcomin gamecube games on tmk's front page, and im willin to wait.
-memory cards arent just a way for the company to get extra cash from you, they are there for organizing and archiving game saves. When the room on the xbox hard drive(if it has one, im not sure)is taken up, your screwed!you have to start deleting older saves, but with gamecube, you can just pop in a fresh memory card :D
-gamecube is compact and has a good controller.

allstars master, X-Box does have a hard drive, but it also has memory units. So X-Box is the best when it comes to saving, but its memory unit will NEVER match up with the Sega VMU for DC!

ok, umm...

1.GAMECUBE!!!!(ive played all of the sytems mentioned and i think this is the best cuz of the compact controller and the great gameplay. i have this system, YAY!)

2.PS2(again, this system has great game play and the controller is easy to use)

3.Xbox(the game play is ok, but the controller is WAY too confusing, and its so big and...BIG! im tellin you man, the thing is huge!!!)

Some of that other stuff out there is like "Yea...cool." but then there's something that happens to you, and you dont know why, but it just does. And then suddenly you find yourself drawing pictures of a cat with a mexican hat dancing around a chihuahua and saying "Im better at this than you are" and the cihuahua is sad and it all just makes you wanna puke. But yeah...i dunno.

Bah, all of 'em are easy to use for me. Five reasons for this:

1. PS2 and PSX have the same controllers.
2. I have a PSX.
3. GameCube and PS2 have pretty similar controllers.
4. The X-Box controller is just a little different from the DC controller.
5. I'm good at DC games (well, sort of).

By the way, basically EVERYONE (except my bro and I) has X-Box and not GameCube, or perfers X-Box over GameCube (my bro and I will probably NEVER bother with an X-Box, well, maybe play it from time to time at a friend's house, which I did, or when a friend brings it over (both of us), but not waste money on that big black thing).

With the games that are out now:
1.ps2(maximo, gta3, mgs2, ff10, doa2, tekken 4 etc)
2.gcn(melee, mansion, rouge leader)
3.x-box(DOA3, morrowind)

With upcoming games(all these are tight next to each other, neck and neck...):
1.gcn(Metroid Prime, Mario sunshine, zelda, wario world, star fox adventures, starfox gc, f zero gc etc...)
2.x-box(Ninja gaiden, transformers: decepticon's revenge)
3.ps2(Grand theft auto vice city, breath of fire, ff11)

AND HOW DARE YOU not put Mario Party 4, tennis, golf, and kart on your upcoming GCN games, yet you put the ever-so-terrible Reborn on their.

Xbox is a better system in all manor.

There are app. 5000 reasons why but let me go into a few.

1st. Better games.

Someome mentioned that you have to wait for GC games to come out? Well by that time there will be even BETTER xbox games, Ninja Gaden, "Project Ego", etc.

2nd Hardware

The xbox has some serious hardware. This lets it have access to some awsome computer games like MARROWIND, etc.

Basically game cube fans can say all they want about how its better, well its just not. They usally say "Well halo is the only good game" when in reality they are only kidding themselves.

The clame that game cube will be better in the future. When in reality theres no reason what so ever that you SHOULD NOT by a Xbox over a game cube in a few months.
