Title: It Came From Under My Bed!
Post by: Glorb on September 03, 2005, 07:42:00 PM
I would normally consider myself a normal thirteen-year-old, except for one thing: My room is a mess. Seriously, I'll bet you can find literally anything in there, especially...From Under My Bed! Here's a list of all the junk I've found recently:

various gaming magazines
a slinky (broken)
the Sonic the Hedgehog Genesis cart
13 different toy cars
various old Pokemon cards
the tape of Aliens
a toy gun
some newspapers
a video-camera (broken)
half a toy robot
no tea
pocket fluff
a thing your aunt gave you which you don't know what it is
it looks like the thing contains:
 an Atomic Vector Plotter
 a cup of tea

P.S. I hope you caught all the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy references.

Under my bed there is:
A cardboard cutout of Darth Vader promoting Pepsi.
A life-sized cardboard cutout of the Gorton's fisherman.
A cardboard cutout of Justin Wilson promoting a line of kitchen knives.
About 10 extension cords.

All these thing are in very neat order, btw.

Time slowed and Reality bent.
But on and on the Eggman went.

I've got a miniature closet under my bed, and it's filled with old Lego. Nevertheless, I shall list the things under my bed:

Lego
My cat (Sometimes)
Boxes (??)
A shovel (A small one)
My younger cat (Well, he used to go down there...)

I''ve noticed something amongst some people''s signatures- they''re not always perfektt.

A rifle
Pornographic magazines
my parents' remains

Just kidding.  There's really just a box with a rifle under it, but that's my brother's.  Maybe the box is empty I don't even know.  A cardboard box, I might add.

I understand a few things, but seriously, how can you people do that and leave crap under your bed? You people are lazy.

And what is it that you don't want us to know. We're not immature here (lots are though); you can tell us.

What's under my armchair is much more interesting, but you didn't ask for that.

Haha, no. I actually have my bed sitting on these weird black thingies. They make there be about half a foot more space under the bed.

Yeah, I have way too much stuff. If I get much more, I'll have nowhere to put it! :P

And seriously, no one gets those Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy references? Tea? No tea? Thing your aunt gave you which you don't know what it is? Improbability Drive?! C'mon. Wait, I sound like *SUCH* a nerd.

Speaking of which, the HHGTTG disk is under my bed too, along with Wishbringer, The Lurking Horror, Zork, and a buttload of other classic Infocom games.

Glorb, for your own sake, you might not want to respond with more references. For even if they don't travel through some sort of wormhole, end up flooding the empty reaches of space around a couple of disgruntled planets, and through coincidental dual meaning in another language be insulting enough to start a giant war, they might pit you against Chup in a battle of your own. And since he's roughly king around here—and this isn't chess—he's probably not the best one against whom to brandish a flaming sword of referring insult.

Wow. That is the best reference-response I have ever witnessed. Now I'll stop. By the way, I recently found the most amazing thing under my bed. I'll describe it, but only a photo can do it justice. Too bad I have no scanner or PhotoBucket account. But here it is:

It's a near-mint copy of Spider-Man #1!

Really. I'm serious. It may not be the first-edition, first-print original 1963 copy, but dang, I'm pround of it. Plus, I found a $10 bill under there, too.

Hmmmm, let me check, I'll have to ask permission to enter the land of David the Gnome that is oddly located under my bed.

- a book that I half read :P
- a book that I fully read, and dont plan on reading again
- a beat-up-GBASP that I found, and that I plan on selling for $50
- a few MAD mags
- some silk underwear....ooops, did I just say that out loud?

My bed is so great. It's 3 mattresses on top of each other, so it "feels like jello," according to my sister. I felt her bed, it was like a board. So more to the point, there's NOTHING under it!

My friend John: Wow! I can see my own breath! It''s already that time of year?
Me: No. Your breath just smells. Really bad.

The only books I haven't read all the way through are The Boxcar Children: Mystery in the Sand and Ender's Shadow, because I slowly lost interest of the latter; same with the former, but I was like seven-years-old when I tried to read that.

A Vans shoe box containing a crumpled piece of blank paper
a tackle box
a blue... thing
an old box of legos
feathers
seed shells

- a box of papers that I have saved throughout the years and haven't been able to throw away (pack rat virus I guess)
- a box of stuffed animals
- my empty box for my Game Cube and Donkey Konga in case I want to take them somewhere
- a box of Break Away and PluggedIn magazines.
- tons of college application stuff that I probably won't look at for awhile
- more stuff that isn't that interesting

Here's what I wish I did have:
- bagged candy
- a paintball gun
- a Nintendo DS
- a trap door that takes me to a secret room full of great stuff.  But since my bedroom is upstairs that wouldn't really work.
- a machine that turns me into a real yoshisaurus so I could "run around" at night

Bird Person, do you have a bed with no space under it?

And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.
